Costa Rica Travel Vlog: Spending a Week in Guanacaste [4K]

SUBSCRIBE ► / @viatravelers Getting away from the cold weather, I spend a week in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This video is the travel vlog of my time spent there and some things to do if you're looking for an affordable place to go on vacation.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country with diverse landscapes and interesting attractions. If you're looking for an affordable place to go on vacation, I recommend Guanacaste. This region is known for its golden beaches and lush jungles. There are plenty of things to see and do in Guanacaste, so here are a few of my favorites:
First, the beaches are definitely worth a visit. The coastline is dotted with quaint villages and secluded coves. My personal favorite beach was Playa Hermosa, known for its crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches.
Another must-see attraction is the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. This park is home to a variety of wildlife, including howler and white-faced monkeys, tree frogs, and lots of birds. There are also hot springs in the area for a relaxing time when you're done exploring.
Guanacaste is a region in the northwest of Costa Rica that humans have inhabited for at least 5,000 years. The most significant archaeological finds to date are from the Chorotega culture, which dates back to 400 AD. They lived in small villages and had an intimate knowledge of their land and its resources.
Guanacaste today continues this tradition with organic farming, such as coffee production and cocoa cultivation. This sustainable agricultural practice has led to a booming ecotourism industry centered on eco-friendly hotels like La Casona de la Selva Jungle Lodge near Liberia.
With so many opportunities for adventure tourism like kayaking through the mangroves or ziplining through the jungle canopy, it's no wonder that Guanacaste is one of the most visited regions in Costa Rica.

Thanks! Our daughter was about 14 months! We had some family in town so they provided childcare for a couple of days. We stayed at the Capitan Suizo, which is in my top 10 hotels of all time: www.booking.com/hotel/cr/capitan-suizo.en-gb.html?aid=2227309

Yeah, you’ll have to drive a lot no matter what and if you want to truly explore the country, a car is the best way to do it.

All Good until the comments on Las Catalinas. - I think you missed the point of the town. It is a NON WALLED OFF development and on the weekends the Locals from Portrero and brasilito and surrounding areas SOUTH of Las Catalinas come to the town to enjoy time with Family. You kind of missed the point...except to say that It is still under development over time...but again NOT walled off not quarantined like a resort it is a town creating work, a location for locals and a family friendly non typical as you say costa rican locale....
