Costa Rica has been on my travel list since high school and we finally got to travel to the land of Pura Vida with @TheAwkwardTourists and @trovatrip . On the first part of this Costa Rica travel vlog weeklong group trip, we fly from Dallas, Texas to San Jose, Costa Rica, and drive through the beautiful mountains to an organic farm to learn how locals grow and cultivate a living here in Costa Rica. We also got to see our very first sloth!
Next, I get back on the trail to hike the Arenal Volcano- a previously thought extinct volcano that woke up and let out a roar in 1968, taking out 3 villages and killing 87 people. Luckily for us, the mountain was quiet as we hiked 3,000 meters into the jungle to see so many wild animals, plants and insects. The second half of our hike was interrupted by a rain storm but that made our visit to Paradise Hot Springs that much more enjoyable.
These hot springs are man-made, but the geothermal waters are true from the area and helped relax our tired muscles before a yummy evening dinner. On the next part of this series, I teach you how to pack for your trip to Costa Rica so you don't make the same packing mistakes we did.

Wow, what an incredible adventure! Your video really captures the beauty and wonder of Costa Rica. It's great to see you exploring the organic farm and learning about the local culture. LOVE THAT BAG😍😍😍. I will be traveling to La Fortuna for a week with a group of friends. I was actually looking for accessible things to do during our trip. I’m so heartbroken that I’m not able to do the waterfalls 😢. I decided to check out some videos to see what I would be missing and stumbled upon your video. Hi there and welcome! Yes as much as we've come in accessibility for those with mobility restrictions, we still have a long way to go. That said, there is still a viewpoint to see the waterfall but it might not be worth the entry fee. Instead, look into accessible activities like Mistico Hanging Bridges, Paradise Hot Springs, or adaptive Ziplining with Il Viaggio Travel. Of course, the town of La Fortuna is beautiful and worth a mosey on a sunny day. Sadly this bag doesn't come in red. This company is woman-owned and a small business that really put quality and care into its products. They do introduce new colors here and there so maybe they will have a red option soon.
