Love Lafortuna ! Always had good weather there laid in bed at Los Logus and watched Arenal slowly erupted , fished lake Arenal and hiked all the trails. Great place.!👍

We just returned from a week on La Fortuna and, overall, enjoyed it. HOWEVER, they don’t call it “rainy season” without reason. We stayed in a resort at the base of Arenal and NEVER saw the top of the volcano and watched heavy showers almost every day. I only wish we had split our week up with a few days on the coast. No worries, we’ll be back. Pura Vida!

We will be there in May for a destination wedding near Arenal. What is the weather like at that time? We want to stay a couple of days at the beach. What are your recommendations?

We are visiting next week March 20, 2022. What is the guides information. I don't see that he ever commented.

How did it go for you? How was the weather?

Where is the guide website or #. I am going in January. I am driving myself to La Fortuna. 2 couples. I checked I few of the places you stopped at using google map and I saw some of them are very expensive. I know is a tourist zone but some menus were more expensive than CONUS. I am Puerto Rican. I speak good Spanish. I want the small local places where I can eat good without spending a fortune.

fun fact that hot spring river used to have a resort charging entrance but the competition next door bought them out and demolished the place, ironically people go there now for free./
