I agree, especially bc in countries like France apparently there isn't an age of consent, at least not in the same way we have in the US. Here, depending on your state, some minors can consent at age 16 but only for being involved with other teens within 3 years. This is meant to stop minors from having legal problems as a result of dating other minors they met in high school

That's a tough one, because it's correct in premise but really destructive in practice. Since crimes like that are taken very seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if they would get removed from sites the second it becomes well known, which means that they have no way to respond. There by, going against free speech. False Allegations would gain an infinite power, because they would have to way to disprove you. We've seen close friends of people who have been falsely accused turn on them after seeing the allegations. Passing a law like that is unconstitutional at best and horribly destructive at worst.

Regardless of the show's quality, it helped me through some hard times just because it's easily mockable at worst and great at best. However, the amount of studio bullshit and actor screwing over that happened behind the scenes is horrible. Fucking hell, out of the original six cast members, ONE left on good standing with three being fired (or quitting depending on who you ask) for horrible wages, one leaving because he was bashed for being gay repeatedly, and JDF leaving after having to be made to stay on to find replacements. Only Amy Jo Johnson had anything resembling a good departure on her terms with no external shit besides maybe burnout and that's ignoring things like Nakia Burise and Johnny Bosch being screwed over during Turbo or Karan Ashley's short end of the stick during Alien Rangers. Art vs artist at its absolute finest.

This is exactly what I brought up in my comment! People tend to miss that age if consent means when the person at that age is now allow to be in relations with someone of their age or under 18 still (14 year old can now be with a 14, 15, 16, 17 year old). Even the Romeo and Juliet laws typically grant 2-3 yr gap, which even then Cosmo is over that gap if the victim was 14 at the time (a 5 yr gap). Still gross he tried excusing it without thinking of the reasoning for this kind of law. I don't know why people are finding this so difficult to understand!

While I really liked Nawniis video the Part regarding the AOC in Germany was a little bit flawed. If you somehow didn't know, the legal age of consent in Japan is 13 which is why the FOURTEEN year olds in that show can wear skimpy dresses without Toei facing issues from it related to child porn laws. It's...iffy I'll say that much and to my understanding barely legal (the censorship laws in that country seem to be "do whatever the hell you want as long as they aren't screwing on camera") but whatever. By the way, between Sailor Moon and Super Sentai, the hell is it with Toei and skimpy women in form fitting super suits and skirts? It's a bit weird. I don't live in Germany, but I am partially German. From what my friends and family have told me, consent laws there are complex, but in general, the age of consent on Germany is only 14 if both people involved are under 18. Not that it matters that much, seeing how the victim lived in America, but it does mean that not only is cosmos reasoning fundamentally flawed, but he used and keeps using omissions of the truth to manipulate his audience into believing that what he did was maybe not right, but acceptable. Fuck me I wish I had died before I was born.

yeah age laws like that exist other places as well so its weird that he keeps messing it up but i wonder if its intentional. A lot of people bring up japan but their age of consent is also pretty complicated. you can still get arrested for doing things with a 13 year old if you fall outside an age range and i think i remember the age range being pretty tight. You wouldn't see someone over 18 holding hands and treating a 13 year old like a lover like its a normal thing. everything about how he's explained things to us so far just feels really sketchy and poorly done. i feel like he wants to say what we want to hear from him (that hes sorry/getting help/was misguided) rather then actually setting things straight with everyone in a very honest way

I immediately blocked him and I still don’t regret it, ESPECIALLY after I heard all of THIS come out a few months back... Like Just Stop said, I HIGHLY recommend watching LS Mark instead. Why his claim its normal here in Germany is a lie: Age gaps like the one presented by Cosmo are unusual. Here you can do an "Ausbildung" which is working 3 days per week while attempting 2 days at business school for the theoretical stuff. Most people beginn at 16 and end with 19/20. Basically his situation would be someone who finishes business school and has three years of workplace experience dating someone who has at least one year of public schooling ahead of them. Now tell me of that sounds icky or not....

The younger one has over a year before their biggest problem will be final exams, while the older party already has a way better time management by having to manage flip flopping school and work and had their own salary for years. The older party in the situation took way more responsibilities in life and has much more experience. This gap isn't seen as normal here. The younger one doesn't need any resources or such, because they have no responsibility at their age

It's not the norm, but it's not completely unusual either (though guys with so much younger girlfriends tend to be seen as loosers who aren't good enough for women of their age with, well, experience and standards). This reminds me of my uncle when he was constantly hit on by a 15 year old high schooler.(he was 27 at the time). Except unlike Cosmo, my uncle had the moral foresight to reject her. And not even in a cold manner. He rejects her in the most polite way saying: "Look kid. You're a pretty girl and I'm absolutely flattered that you've taken an interest in an old man like me. But I can't date you. Not just because I don't want either of us to get in trouble, but also because you have too many responsibilities to be focused on dating. Go back to school, find yourself a good job afterwards, look for your purpose in life, and only then should you decide if you want to share your life with that special man." He'd eventually date and marry her when she was 20, which even then he wanted permission from her father due to the father being a protective family Guy. Bottom line: if Cosmo had at least 1% of morality like my uncle, he wouldn't be stuck in this scenario and he certainly wouldn't have harmed the victim, an underage victim who looked up to him, no less.

Yea, pedophiles know full well the manipulation, emotional abuse and potentially physical abuse, they inflict on their victims. We've seen this pattern with other pedos, they very rarely stop going after children. It will be a long long time until they can prove they're better. I don't think they deserve a second chance in the first place.

the fact that he ripped off the title and even down to the format of an apology video that my favorite music critic KZreadr artv did even uploading a portion of that video on his Twitter feed made me flip out like how dare he tried to compare his situation to that of my favorite music critic KZreadr. subscribed to Cosmo and the more he tries to make a comeback in the more he tries to explain the situation in a terrible fashion the more he is just hurting himself.

I know, I also watch artv and also saw that video. It's already horrible knowing he has no remorse for the victim he groomed and he shows that by paying no mind to her and using that format to downplay things. I heard her voice for the first time in this video and legit wanted to cry. Why would anyone do this to soneone so young?

@@PGW85Productions He got hammered On Twitter by some Hayley Williams Stans who didn't like his Review of her recent new album "Flowers for Vases / Descansos" and they tried to use Comment from past Reviews and Videos from years ago to make him look bad and it got to a point that he had to make his Twitter account private, I recommend watching his Defending Myself on his ARTV Rouge channel for more of a detailed explanation.

This is the real life equivalent to *How many time do we have to teach you this lesson old man?*

I really think people should stop bringing up the "Germany" argument. It's was a bad argument when HE made it and a lot of people covering him are saying "That may be true, but...". Because he's using the argument wrong. In most of Europe, when the age of consent is under 18, that doesn't mean that adults are still allowed to date/have sex with minors!!! Relationships between an adult and a minor are still illegal, even *if* the minor is above the age of consent. For example, in France, there was no age of consent until very recently. That doesn't mean that pedophilia wasn't illegal, though. Age of consent DOES NOT FACTOR INTO THE DISCUSSION AT ALL!!! If he was 16-17, sure. It wouldn't have saved him from the allegations of abuse, but at least he wouldn't be called a pedo. HOWEVER, since he *is* an adult, even in Germany, even if you forget that his victim was in an entirely different country with entirely different laws, it's still *monstrously* illegal, on top of being MORALLY reprehensible. He should leave the Internet and never show his face again.

I'd honestly only ever heard of the guy in passing. Now I'm just passing him up. Best way to get a guy like that to finally yank their head from their arse and go away is to just not interact with what they do. Dislikes are an option, but in the economy of KZread, a view is a view, so rushing to drop those thumb-downs isn't super impactful to someone like Cosmo. Fingers crossed that he'll at the very least quit his trend of trying to pin all the fault on the people he wronged. Happier note, Happy 17th, JS.

Even she was of age, it was clearly a toxic relationship. Involving her friends in trying to get the relationship? Manipulative and horrible. Not messaging for a while to see what would happen? That's like the most sterotypical toxic behavior. Sending unsolicited porn including porn that is illegal? Even if she wasn't a minor that's still gross as hell. Even if I could extend the most sympathy to him in this situation, he's clearly extremely ignorant at best. Him thinking that he can imply that the people making videos exposing him don't actually care about the victim is a window into his mind. Wether he wants to believe it or not... he doesn't think the victim has the right to speak for herself and he thinks that he knows best. Even if well-intentioned, that's extremely hurtful.

As someone who was groomed by three people growing up (and have friends who were also groomed by people also), it baffles me how Cosmodore admitted to a heinous crime such as grooming a child, use age of consent to excuse p*dophilia, try to deny an allegation that has ACTUAL evidence that he cannot lie about, and have fans who defend him. My heart really goes out to the victim; no person, ESPECIALLY a young child, ever has to be traumatized by such a thing. Cosmodore KNEW he has gotten into deep water with grooming and he decided to stay just to crash that last little check from KZread. It pains me that victims have to live in fear of seeing the name of the abuser everywhere on social media. Thank god everyone has a brain to not fall for his lies (excluding Cosmo's fans), but he seems to not want to leave despite the backlash... Jesus...

I remember before he got exposed, he was on a Discord I was on and made a bet that he'd leave is something lost in a poll. It lost and he fucking left. At the time it was hillarious but kinda missed talking to him at first as he seemed cool **at the time**, but im n hindsight holy shit it was a blessing in disguise.

You know there’s a scene on Bojack Horseman where he does an interview that confronts his grooming behavior but in the end instead of admitting and learning of his grooming behavior as well as acknowledging an uneven power dynamic between him and many others, he chooses to see himself as the victim saying the interviewer was only calling him out for “a big headline for a promotion “ but either way in the end he was exposed and shown for who he was regardless
