@@urbanbader4113Also, (and I say this light-heartedly) ya gotz ta cease with tha haterade, famalam! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just because the man cooking ain't Gordon Ramsay don't mean his food is any less than spectacular. This bass player was going OFF, in the best possible way! He even maintained the groove, which is tough for a bass player to do while soloing. Also, that comparison is a smidge unfair. It's like when you hear someone absolutely kill a guitar solo (in a good way), and say "Stevie Ray Vaughan could've done it better." Where da love at? ❤ If you spent so much time enjoying the finer tastes that you can't identify awesome when you hear it, just say that. 🤣🤣🤣

@@Azchk Yep - everyone's got in-ears so they're probably not super loud on-stage, but even discounting that there's no way that's what the sound is on stage. It might be mixed to bring things near the camera forward, but it's definitely not recorded solely from the camera's mic. Still a great performance either way.

@@jakehendriksen2841 Maybe I had a similar feeling when I discovered Vulfpeck four years ago, I did not know Cory solo career yet. But Cory is more productive and probably expresses larger influences with his amazing band. And he provides content like this live every week, that's insane! The last album is dope but I was surprised by its tone. After my first listening, I though that Cory was definetely exploring different ways to make studio music that maybe sounds less funky than the Paisley Park Station album. But it still has its uniqueness that makes Cory who he is. And then we got some tremendous live versions of some songs during this tour (go check the full live at Ancienne Belgique if you haven't watched it yet). I totally rediscovered the album by listening again more carefully and now it is definitely in my wishlist on bandcamp. 😉 Cheers to all the fans! 😊

Can you do possibly another video detailing your latest song collaboration with the Japanese singer-songwriter Vaundy? How did you get to know and work with him? What sorta idea did you come up for the song? And how do you feel like working with Vaundy? From what I've read from the Japanese fans, it appears that you've teased it out already to the Japanese crowds when you performed at Fuji Rock Festival, last July!🤔😲 A dedicated On The One episode where you break down the Vaundy song you were in "Todome no Ichigeki" would be amazing!😍

For what it is worth, this Paris show is the best staging I've seen for Cory and the band. I really like the fact that the 6-guitar road-cases for spares are not in front of the horn section and the bass riser like in past shows.... To me this is a vast improvement of the visuals, really bringing the band visually together and presenting it as whole unit. Whatever is more downstage is consider more important in the show by the audience. Having those spare guitars in front of the horns and bass is like saying, "these spare guitars are more important than the guys standing in back of them." - not a good way to present the band. Also, I really want to shout out Cory for bringing Petar up front. Perfect, right where he should be for what he gives to the show - extreme musical sorcery. I'll see you when you come to California in February - can't wait.

Cory explained at some point during the show Sonny T couldn't make at the last minute for the tour, but he remembered having been messaged by Vincen a few years back to say he'd be happy to play with him if he ever needed a bass player. He contacted Vincen whilst in the plane, told him "We'll fly you to us, here's a list of 50 songs for you to learn in 24 hours". This concert happened only 5 days later! Vincen was amazing the whole time, even played Dean Town like a true master! This man is super skilled, will definitely check him out in the future 😃

I'm not sure if this is camera audio, or they just did the mix of all the instruments on porpouse this way, making automatizations of all the EQs to make us feel that we're on stage. You can notice it because when the camera is under Cory, the guitar sounds like it's filtered with a low pass, but at this moment we have cory's speakers/monitors in front of us. When the camera is in front of Cory, the filter disappears and we can listen to the guitar on the full range, but with no speakers looking in our direction. I don't know how you did it, but it's brilliant. Loves from Spain! Pd: proud of the bassist!

Don't forget he had amps behind him too, so you can hear the guitar coming from 2 directions. There's also horns (acousticly loud), a Hammond with Leslie (loud), a massive bass amp and a drum kit (loud). There might also be some hidden sidefill speakers in the wings (who knows). So I can believe this might actually be camera audio if it had a good mic on it.
