How did Cory not make the Rolling Stone list for best guitars?!? Sure he's a great song writer and band leader but damn, he's an incredible guitarist and performer. Give him is due!!! He is exceptional and deserves more recognition.

Even though I’m a guitarist by trade, I’m a huge fan of great drummers. Petar is high on my list of the drummers to watch, listen to, and learn from. Musicians who don’t pay close attention to the percussion are doomed to mediocrity. Petar and Cory, thanks for the inspiration!

I saw them for the first time a few nights ago and the only way I've been able to convey to people what it felt like (in the front row) is that I was strapped to the side of a rocket ship of funk and taken into the stratosphere.

This band has a mix live that if you play music its one of those things no mater what your doing you'll play good. Their live sound is one of the most impressive things I've heard live. Unreal unreal unreal how consistent and good it is no matter the venue. They, bar none have it down to some science I'm not sure other bands know yet. ITS SORCERY I SWEAR TO GOD. I want to play live with this sound on stage it must feel fucking amazing

ok, i wanted to go to the jazz open to see fanta 4. after all, i've known the band since 1993. i read that cory wong also plays there. so i quickly watched a video or two of cory on youtube. then they played live at 6pm and i almost freaked out. i can hardly imagine how much blood, sweat and tears it must have cost as a musician to acquire such skills. Since then I almost only listen to cory wong. that's addicting. 😁 and my wife and son love it too 🤩

Yeah, at one point he even realized that hard panning Cory's guitar to the left is not a really good idea at live shows.

@@Fastvoice There was a technical problem. This was fixed by swapping out the guitar at timestamp 07:02. At timestamp 18:02 was swapped back. 🎸

I've been a Cory diehard for a long time -- I'll watch any new live version of any new tune, because Cory's vehicles are the gift that keep giving. The Petar, Kevin and Jay solos on Sidestep were just something I was not expecting! Much elevated respect for Jay especially - that Wah trumpet solo dude come on!

@@alexa.2072 In germany we mostly use Nivtec stage platforms. Those are made in germany. Espicially with products as big and heavy as stages its not always efficient to ship it around the globe.
