Cory Sandhagen vs TJ Dillashaw | "I’m Ready" Promo

Спорт

Here is Axiom Combat's promo for UFC Fight Night 191: #CorySandhagen #vs #TJDillashaw!
A bantamweight bout between former two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen will serve as the main event on July 24 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be Dillashaw's first fight since his two-year suspension due to testing positive for EPO.
Cory Sandhagen on the other hand aims to put another ex-champ on his resume after knocking out former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar with a flying knee in Feburary earlier this year. This was his second straight win after his first round submission loss to the current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. This loss marked his first loss inside the UFC cage.

TJ Dillashaw:
Dillashaw officially made his UFC debut on December 3, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. The fight was the final of the bantamweight tournament against John Dodson to determine the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 14. Dillashaw lost via TKO. Following this loss he went on a four-fight win streak defeating Walel Watson (unanimous decision, February 15, 2012), Vaughan Lee (submission, July 11. 2012), Issei Tamura (KO, March 16, 2013)and Hugo Viana (TKO, April 20, 2013).
On October 9, 2013 at UFC Fight Night 29, TJ Dillashaw lost to Assunção via split decision. However the back and forth action earned both fighters the Fight of the Night bonus. After this, Dillashaw racked up four new straight wins over Mike Easton (unanimous decision, January 15, 2014), Renan Barão (Dillashaw was expected to face Takeya Mizugaki on May 24, 2014, at UFC 173. However, with the show losing its main event, Dillashaw was moved up the card to face Bantamweight champion and top 5 pound for pound Renan Barão in the featured bout. In one of the biggest upsets in UFC and MMA history, Dillashaw won the fight in dominant fashion, defeating Barão via TKO in the fifth round to become the new UFC Bantamweight champion), Joe Soto (KO, August 30, 2014, UFC 177), and Renan Barao (the rematch), (TKO, July 25, 2015).
On January 17, 2016, Dillashaw lost his belt to Dominic Cruz via split decision. This was a super close fight and both fighters were rewarded Fight of the Night bonuses. After this loss he once again racked up four new straight victories. On July 9, 2016 at UFC 200, Dillashaw beat Raphael Assunção via unanimous decision in their rematch. He then went on and defeated Jon Lineker via unianimous decision at UFC 207 on December 30, 2016. After this he beat Cody Garbrandt on November 4, 2017 at UFC 217. Dillashaw won the fight via second round TKO and regained the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Both fighters agreed to meet again at UFC 227 on August 4, 2018. TJ remained champion after defeating Garbrandt via first round TKO.
TJ Dillashaw then challenged the flyweight champion Henry Cejudo for the flyweight belt on January 19, 2029. Cejudo beat Dillashaw 32 seconds into the first round via TKO, and successfully defended his flyweight title.
On March 20, 2019, Dillashaw voluntarily relinquishing the UFC bantamweight championship after USADA found adverse findings following his bout against Henry Cejudo. It was announced Dilllashaw had been suspended for two years by USADA and NYSAC due to testing positive for EPO prior to the Henry Cejudo bout. He became eligible to return on January 19, 2021.

Cory Sandhagen:
Cory Sandhagen made his UFC debut on January 27, 2018 where he fought Austin Arnett and won via TKO in the second round. He then went on an impressive win streak and secured victories over Iuri Alacantra (second round TKO, August 25, 2018), Mario Bautista (first round submission, April 27, 2019), John Lineker (split decision, April 22, 2019) and Raphael Assunção (unanimous decision, August 17, 2019).
Sandhagen then faced Aljamain Sterling on June 6, 2020 at UFC 250. The bout was confirmed by Dana White as a bantamweight title eliminator. However, Cory Sandhagen lost the fight via submission in the very first round.
''The Sandman'' then came back strong on October 11, 2020 at UFC Fight Night 179 where he defeated Marlon Moraes via technical knockout in round two. This performance earned him the Performance of the Night award as he landed a perfect spinning wheel kick to the head, followed up by punches which ultimately put an end to the fight. Then at UFC Fight Night 184 on February 6, 2021, Sandhagen defeated former champion Frankie Edgar with a spectacular flying knee in round one. This win also earned him the Performance of the Night bonus.

Great promo trailer. I wonder where that leave Yan at, Sterling and his camp are trying to deny him a rematch and fight the winner of this one between Cory and TJ. Which just blows my mind, like how can Sterling demand anything, when he did not even beat the Champion. Shit he wins the strap do to A illegal technicality and then takes time off because of injury. Then this dude has the nuts to walk around with the belt taking pictures acting like he actually beat Yan lol…. Bro Yan was smoking his ass up to that knee and Sterling knows that was his only way out of that cage with a W. Dudes a chump and its funny as hell to me because he looks like a douche and everyone sees it but him. Looking forward to this weekends card. That main event is hard to pick a winner. Cory is so dangerous and tough and then we got TJ who is out to prove the world wrong. Im gonna roll with TJ even 2 years is a long time though i think he uses his take downs and wrestling. He must also win the exchange’s in the clinch. Cory is very long and lanky. He needs distance to throw, so i look for TJ to get on the inside and implement his wrestling and takedows. Dillashaw has more riding on this fight and way more to lose. Winner fights for the belt. Cory can make another run and fight 5 or 6 more fights if he would end up losing this fight to climb back up the rankings for another title fight. But does TJ have another run in him? He is older and been around the block now. I just think it will be alot harder for him to make a another run and get another crack at the starp. Dillashaw wins bye Dec

@matthew 10805 I mean as a mma fighter myself I can tell you height amd reach advantage has everything to do with the fight . A dude thats a trained fighter will be able to pick apart smaller guys because of the reach... thats how he easily knocked dude out with a flying knee. The dude could atleast do 155 but of course the monsters in 155 are probably the reason he don't. He'd be stronger amd harder hitter at 155. I don't dislike corey... don't get me wrong... he's a good fighter but he dont get my attention and admiration for walking over 135lb fighters when he's almost 6 foot tall.... thats just not impressive to me. Khabib is impressive.... poriers chin is impressive
