Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video shows combinations of pads and correction liquids that are effective on hard, stubborn clear coat as well as soft thin clear. The hard, stubborn clear is on a Corvette C6. The soft, thin clear is on a Toyota Tundra. I will show a few combinations of pads and polishes to remove imperfections from both!

Maybe some content regarding when to switch from a 5 or 6 inch pad down to a 3 inch. What sort of contours/sections/edges can you get away with using that 5/6 inch pad for before needing to change over. I imagine many of your fans will be switching to going by hand for the sections truly too small for those 5/6 inch pads.

That 3D One has surprised me. I did a neighbor's Town & Country, and used the Porter Cable 7424 with blue Buff and Shine polishing pads, which is almost a finishing pad, and 3D One. That combination removed all of the wash marring, and dullness. Great finish. Super easy to use too. The passenger side I used Rupes Quarz Medium on their green pads using a Rupes Duetto. Removed the same amount of damage, leaving a touch more gloss. On another vehicle I tried the Rupes Quarz Medium on their yellow pads on the Porter Cable 7424, but it didn't have the teeth to remove all the damage. Super nice gloss though. Moved up to the blue Buff and Shine super coarse Uro-Tech, but it still didn't get enough damage out. The Uro-Fiber did, but required a follow up with foam.. I really like the idea of a medium cut polish. Obviously, 3D One can wear many hats from cutting to polishing, and finishing, etc. The Rupes Medium was fun - short work time, very little dust, very easy wipe off, nice cut and finish. . The Menzerna 2500 has been my go to for a few years now for a medium polish. I really like it with Lake Country Hydrotech polishing pads, it plays well with a wide variety of foam and microfiber pads.

It seems like 3D One + Uro-Dual Fiber is an ideal combo as they both seem to have similar levels of action. Med cut with nice finish. Maybe follow it with a Finish pad and Sonax Perfect Finish or Koch Chemie M3.02 . Of all the final finishing polushes those two seem to always rank at the top for effective gloss even especially afterba proper prep wipe. I amnstuck with 2 all black vehicles. 2016 LEXUS and 2008 GMC Silverado 2500 Duramax. Totally opposite spectrum clears. On the Lexus after the dealer touched it I had to do correction. It was bad. * Rinse * Foam Cannon Soak Rinse * 2 Bucket Wash * Iron Decon * Clay + Mckee's N914 as lube * Spot check Iron repeat if necessary * 3D One + Uro Dual Fiber * Sonax Perfect Finish + Black Finishing Pad * PoorBoys Black Hole + Wax App / Jeweling Pad (24hr cure before wax) * FK1000P + Wax Pad (48hr cure 2nd app.) Domthe PB BH just for the first pop. After 3-4 months I do a Sonnax PF Finishing Pad + 2 coats FK1000P. Add an extra coat every 3-4 months. Seems to level off after 3 coat. Goijg to a Ceramic this fall. Leaning toward McKee Ceramic Graphene Coat Pro V 2.0. Have not decided on a topper for monthly washes. Keep N914 in a spray bottle for bird guano and bug strikes.

But dang only 2k miles on the OD. Given how most do lots of driving when you buy a new vehicle in that first few weeks. It might only have been off the deal lot for a month. Maybe 2? Even weekly or bi monthly washes that's serious damage. Like washing in a dirty bucket where a bunch of sand came off the truck and using a terry cloth and Palmolive dish soap lol. But sure looks like a drive thru "heavy touch" car wash. It looks like someone went over it with emery cloth or 00 steel wool. SOS Pad 😮.

Hi Brian, I have a 2018 Tundra, but my paint isn’t in nearly bad of shape as this Tundra was. If I have only very light swirls, and I want to correct some factory orange peel, could I just skip to the 3D One step after I clay? Also, when it comes to pads, I’m still learning about all the different ones and when to use which one. But when you say the Urofiber 50/50 pad, does it need to say 50/50 in its description to be that one your recommending in the video? The link for it doesn’t show any with the 50/50 in the name of the pads. I have a new Maxshine M15 Pro series 2 coming and want to know what RPM number 1-6 are you using? I know that you say start out on the lowest setting to spread the material then what speed should I polish at for the Tundra? Thank you very much for all of your videos!

I have a complete rookie decontamination question. You mentioned that you clay first to remove excess contaminants so, the iron remover can work better (in a previous video). If iron gets embedded in the paint and you clay bar first..are you not dragging iron contaminants over the paint as you continue to clay the vehicle? Why not remove the iron contaminants first (wouldn't iron scratch the paint more) then clay bar the remaining crap off. I'm not questioning your method..I'm questioning my logic. Thanx, Will

David Velez it all comes down to experience mate, car manufacturers don’t disclose details of their paint system. The only way to know is by doing. Some information can be garnered by region of manufacture, euro paints are typically harder than Japanese paints but compared to what? It’s all arbitrary and mostly unnecessary to definitively determine. Simply start at a middle point of compound/polish (depending on paint condition) and decide from there.
