    Your drop top is gorgeous! Congrats on it! The garage lust is serious. Right now, my wife's SUV is out of the garage so I have a clear line of sight to the profile of my car from the door that connects the house to the garage. Over a year owning the car and my wife still wonders why I look into the garage so often. I tell her it's to make sure the door is closed haha!

    I've had my 17 C7 GS (M7) 18 months now and have 10.5k mikes on it so far. It's been absolutely fantastic and I love the driving experience. Fortunately, I don't have your parking brake issue. Yours is the first I've heard of that issue and it makes me think it's not a common condition. I also have a rattle somewhere in the rear passenger side that I have yet to find. All in all though, it's a very minor issue. The car is a corner carving beast though! Sticks like glue to the roads at head scratching speeds. I enjoy the heck out of the auto rev matching too. I put a Borla X pipe on mine and the car sounds amazing for a stock exhaust. I look forward to more of your reviews on the Grand Sport.

  • @EddyJoe

    @EddyJoe

    5 жыл бұрын

    I've been considering changing the exhaust and or x-pipe but I'm honestly not tired of the current sounds. Maybe if I rode with someone who had a different exhaust my mind would change. That parking brake issue isn't too bad. Easily remedied. I just hate Chevy dealerships so much that I would rather live with it than have to go see them. Have you had to get new tires for it yet?

Plus, with magnetic ride control the car really can go from track stiff to touring comfort with a turn of the dial. Buy one, your wife will approve. I have a 2017 GS. I too am in love with mine. Good video, going to Dealer tomorrow will ask about camera updates. Only thing i notice that annoy the crap out of me is that, at times i feel hot circulating beneath my feet?? extremely intermittent?? I complained at the dealer and they can never duplicate it. I live in Miami and the sun is brutal. I find that at times the AC sort of looses its edge when at a traffic light. Asked at the dealer about this and here as well>> no trouble found? Still love this ride.

  • @EddyJoe

    @EddyJoe

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hey, Edwin! I think the best dealership to call and ask for the updates would be the Lorenzo Bowmin Dadeland dealership. I am originally from Miami and they always had the most Vette's and, from what I heard, best people working at that dealership. I'm no longer living down there but I'm not too far north and still get a lot of the heat. I've never had issues with the A/C. I have had issues with the cooled seats or I just may not be feeling it as much as I should simply bc it's so hot. Let me know how it goes with the camera update. Others have also told me about the MRC software update that's $350-$450 that supposedly changes the nature of the ride entirely. Let me know how it all goes!

    July 31st is the 1-year for my '18 Black Rose GS convertible. Just swapped out my pads for a set of Power Stop Evolution Sports (based on some recommendations from people in my club) and they're fantastic. 300 miles and no dust on my chromes at all. I had to clean them every every day with the Brembos. Also had my dealer flash the module with the MRC update. Changes the ride and handling 100% for the better. Best $300 you'll ever spend. Hey EJ...you're welcome. We're all family and we look out for one another! Just be sure to take your GS to a Chevy dealer you trust (preferably with a master Corvette tech) for the MRC upgrade. There's a lot of buzz on the forums from people that have gotten a deer-in-the-headlights look from Chevy service departments when they request the upgrade...a lot of dealers don't do a lot of work on Vettes and are pretty clueless. Good luck and enjoy your "new" ride afterwards!

    Fairly minor things right? What have you noticed about oil readings, it seems like the car estimates remaining oil life dropping too quickly. How accurate are these percentages?

  • @EddyJoe

    @EddyJoe

    6 жыл бұрын

    I have just had the oil changed every 5000 miles (potentially a wasteful habit) so I haven't had to worry too much about the oil readings. It's usually around 20-25% of oil life remaining when that occurs.

    The brake dust is not from the pads. No matter what pads you choose. The brake dust is coming from the slotted rotors. Every Grand Sport and Z06 have slotted rotors. Take a look at the Stingray and notice the smooth rotors. You won't find any brake dusty on the rims. Change to the smooth rotors and see what happens. The car will still stop on a dime. You'll thank me later. ~ Steve
