Really well done video getting down to the engine. Corvairs are so important for American Automotive History. It looks as though your committed to getting it done right.

When I was ten my family went to visit some of my father’s friends. Their son, who was older than me but not old enough to drive had a red Corvair. He and I were friends until he died at 52. His family were in the car business.

That's an interesting adapter for your oil filter. :)

Thanks for the comment! Ya, I believe that was on there because it was a factory air conditioned engine where the condenser sat on top of the engine and would impede access to the oil filter bolt. Thanks for watching!

Nice tear down; I would have marked the plug wires for each cylinder; Even if your going to put new ones in. The only main concern I saw was the the handling of mice nest. These carry all types of diseases in there fecal matter; that can make you really sick; You should always wear latex gloves, & a mask when handling such matter seriously. Did You find out what year the A/C engine is out of? I'm a little late watching the video; I'm still tuning wrenches on the Silverado. Take it it easy, & be safe. Thanks for the updated video.

Thanks for the comment. I will take heed of the mouse house warning. Thanks. The A/C engine is out of a '65. Hoping to finish prepping it this week so I can start the conversion to manual trans and early model dressings. Hope your projects are going well too. Thanks for watching!

@@EndWrenchRookieThanks for the reply. I hope to be to be done with the Silverado sometime Sunday? The brakes anyway I'm going to put in a new master cylinder, & by midweek the B&M diff. cover. Thanks again.
