Very interesting, sure. 😱 It's also outrageous offence to the Christian Faith if corrupt Cardinals can be tolerated. Thou shalt not steal! If Jesus Christ were to come again tomorrow, and be shamed by corruption in 'his' Church and Cardinals, he'd be extremely interested. 🤣 He'd be shocked and disgusted, as when he once angrily kicked the money lenders out of the temple, as in the Gospel. I would rather follow Jesus' own example, than be preached to by a corrupt and hypocrite Cardinal.

@@BumAssNigga408 This is a very old debate and is the rock really referring to Peter? The problem of you quoting from Matthew 16 is you only focus on two verses. You should be reading from verse 13 instead. If our Lord Jesus is referring to Peter as the Rock, why does He need to ask Peter "But who do you say I am?"? Peter's eyes were open at that moment and he recognized Jesus as the promised Messiah. Jesus then affirmed Peter's confession, and also affirmed Himself as the Rock(Petra) which all Churches should be built upon. The New Testament makes it abundantly clear that Christ is both the foundation(Acts 4:11 and 12; 1 Corinthians 3:11) and the head (Ephesians 5:23) of the church. It is a mistake to think that Jesus is giving either of those roles to Peter. The apostles indeed played a foundational role in the building of the church (Ephesians 2:20), but the role of primacy is reserved for Christ alone, not assigned to Peter.

This was disappointing because the original voice over ( in Italian ) was almost as audible as the English translation

I draw my own conclusion, they pay no taxes and run their own city. I assume that accounts for how much gold they possess. Hard to tell, one of their goals last year was to become more transparent. Yes ✅. I demand it! Because to me, "honest accountability" of money = not STEALING it. What else could it be? 'Thou shalt not steal.' Is a crystal-clear fundament of Christian faith. There should never be ANY stealing in the Vatican finances. Zero tolerance - NO room for improvement. The corrupt hypocrites, from Cardinals down, should be kicked out. They are pretending to be Christians. Report their corruption to the police. I can't believe the comments sometimes. I am no expert, but it's a Christian movie. Reading this I feel discouraged to do anything corneninh the life of Jesus. It seems anything we do is wrong. Discernment is good but it also, makes Jesus inaccessible to us. I love this film. The most Pios would condemn love as sin too. If one lives a normal life, there are steps in learning. I am not certain about anything. But what I can honestly say I'd, if one is searching Jesus Christ, he arrived when the searcher for him is ready. He wouldn't allow anything to stop him. Why? It's his church in essence. If the beginnings or middle or leisure moments people watch him. He wouldn't discourage it.. He would see it as a way to relate to human beings. He would correct along the way. But this is such a nice film. So people can understand or even begin to wonder about him. For the lay it's different to the Pious. By comments such as these comment above. Some people may be turned away, as too hard to even start to even want to learn anything. Keeping things simple, even for the complex mind can be good. At the same time, the closer one gets to Jesus, it's certain the enemy will try to confuse. I maintain I find this movie good to watch. Amen ❤

Yes they do have hospitals, nursing homes, schools and so forth but all of these businesses are receiving huge government funds and none are financially struggling. Matter of fact they’re all profitably wealthy. They don’t open these businesses to help the poor and the downtrodden as good Christian institutions would do. Not at all! Walk in most, if not all, of these businesses and you will see that they only cater for the upmarket clientele. The poor and the downtrodden don’t generate wealth.

2000 years would mean this organisation was established when Jesus was just 24 and hadn't yet started his ministry or died o the cross. But perhaps it has been around longer than Jesus, that might explain how so many artifacts were gathered and sheltered in the basilica.

I thought the comment was about the catholic church as an organisation rather than the church that came into being during the life of Jesus and expanded after His death and resurrection. As for the artifacts I don't know how and where they were found but the catholic church has been fortunate to acquire so many. I don't believe I wrote anything to denigrate the works of the church, it is not my place to do so. I will say there are many unsung heroes, anonymous believers, who have done so much without fanfare, I'm sure God blesses and honours every one of them.

You just can't get inside here easily because the gate is closed and there is guard on duty, and we already know who we are here. The boy replied, in a language that no one can understand, even me, I forgot what the boy said, I guess, the boy said, "just don't mind me, I know what I'm doing, I don't even know why I'm here, don't manipulate me"... but that boy was saying in a language that can't be understood, I'm just assuming that maybe, that was the boy said. So, the Priest replied angrily saying "This is scandal huh" we can't understand each other, what language are you saying, don't you know, we are Priest in uniform but we are all soldiers here and we are in operation. I will mark this met up of ours huh, if where you came from, this just between you and me". After then, they separate ways inside the Vatican in different directions.

You were brought up Catholic, not Christian. What you needed but we’re never given was Christ. You will not go to hell if you believe in Jesus as your savior. That’s it. Everything you’ve done wrong in your life does not matter. I understand that maybe you haven’t done much wrong in your life, but one thing wrong is enough to warrant hell for any person. However, like I said, you don’t have to worry. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done. I’m a Lutheran Christian, and I’d highly recommend you check out the “WELS” synod (denomination)that I’m a part of. Seriously man, there ain’t no love in being a Catholic, all they do is scare you. Christ does love you, and I do too man :)

Most if not All religious have major financial investments as well as teams that manage these investments, the Catholic Church may not have lasted this long or been able to look after the needy or lift so many out of poverty if they did not engage in investment ventures. In England, aside from the Monarchy and the railway system, the CoE are the second or third Largest Land Owners, managing their landed property assets, acquired over centuries, via the “Church Commissioners”. The acquisitions may have been possible via donations/offerings from the faithful (to be used as the church deems fit. Unfortunately, there will be mistakes, also in some cases, some of the parties may have unscrupulous motives, that could lead to embarrassment. I won’t see the folks in the Vatican as corrupt, maybe they need to restructure their vetting process to avoid being smeared by corruption.

Yes, but when they cover up pedophiles. and send them off to different. Diocese I think the problem the Catholic church forbids. priests from getting married even though it's not forbidden in the Bible a priest should be able to serve God and his wife and children.

POPE FRANCIS is a good man, a humble man,who truly understands those in need of God's Love, guidance. He is from the old school when priests were good listeners. Now days they do not want to waste time in guiding you..they Send you to see a psychologist,therapist Priests love to be invited out to dinner, the theater, they are lonely, they need company.They are weak in the flesh..like any other man...things happen. But they are also letting us down in spiritual guidance. Some are very good men and have kept their vows.... Pope Francis is a good Pope, respect him.
