Corruption and looking at SA universities: Prof Jonathan Jansen
Professor Jonathan Jansen says while South African universities have escaped scrutiny, there is massive corruption taking place at these institutions of higher learning every year. With R76 billion in funding received from the government, vultures from inside and outside the universities are
out to lay their hands on the funds, similar to what happens in municipalities and state-owned enterprises. In his new book, "Corrupted, a study of chronic dysfunction in South African University", which was discussed in a webinar with the Daily Maverick, Professor Jansen highlights the extent of corruption in South African University. Jansen says university councils, which function like boards in other entities, have been often used for partisan politics. Professor Jansen says part of dealing with corruption at universities is depoliticizing the council and let it be run by professionals. Jonathan Jansen is currently a professor of Education at Stellenbosch University, and he joins us virtually.

Yeah, it will be a white only university
So the solution is to get ANC and all cadre deployments out of power. Get a government in place that will be transparent with every single rand spent at ALL state funded institutions and put systems in place (digital) that cannot be compromised for every rand given/spent. It’s so easy to develop a system like that.
Let’s talk about all these PhD’s 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I don’t think they work hard for them.
