Correcting Your Squat Technique In 15 Seconds (Coaches, watch this!)

Спорт

Proper squat technique is crucial for building strength while not tearing down joints and weak points leading to injury. We've pulled Josh from behind the camera again to be our guinea pig where we break down and correct his squat in under a minute. Learn how the Wenning Belt Squat is all about creating proper technique!
Too many times I've seen athletes on teams learning poor technique leading to injury both in the gym and on the field. Coaches, watch this video and learn how you can teach technique quickly to more than just one player at a time.

Matt wenning you are an amazing and indescribably giving athlete to put out these videos for free like this. I know these things don't have a lot of views, but I'm going to be the 181lb wpo champ and benchpress world record holder soon and your impact on strength training and your impression on the culture itself will always be appreciated. Also my end goal is to coach powerlifting for highschool, which I will accomplish with your help #MuchLoveFromSanAntonioTx

Hey Matt, just wondering, if he pushes his butt back and his shins become vertical, doesn't that make him dominant in the glute/hami area? Is it wrong if his knee travels a little bit forward if he's quad dominant? Just asking because I know I'm quad dominant in the squat and I try to sit back on the squat but just doesn't do much for me. I think my leverage is a lil different. But I'll definitely try the pressure on the outside foot.

Serious question here. Why would anyone do a traditional back squat if they had access to your belt squat machine? At 60yrs old, I gave up squatting years ago. I always seemed to tweak my back and it just wasn’t worth it. There’s just too many variables that if not coached correctly, could land you in the hospital.
