My great great etc. grandfather was the sole owner of the Alameda Land Grant. This consisted of Alameda, Paradise Hills, Corrales, and Rio Rancho. Captain Juan Gonzales-Bas was killed by the Apache's November 14th 1743. I have inherited property from my grandfather and now we're down to 14 acres. My great great great etc. grandfather kept all of Corrales and my grandfather inherited 65 acres. Read about him someday, I was fascinated!

You left out Perea's Restaurant on Corrales Road, an authentic registered historical adobe (200+ years), where this long lineage family offers New Mexican cuisine-- made to order and a bar that brings the spirits of the old west to life as the natural hub of this Hispanic village.
