My neighbor is one of the fire fighters, who was severely burned, & in the hospital for the next month. Please pray for his recovery.

The narrow roads allow developers to maximize the number of homes and their profits. If the neighborhood burns, your problem. Sad that the city/county approves such a layout!

Fire only goes to a burnable area....how it starts is important.....stay safe. I hope we get less arsonist this year, and less power line fires.

Unfortunately another way out will not happen this fire season. My advice is always have a go bag for you and your pets and try to figure out a alternative way out even if that means making a road.

Gated? Lol, nothing a little speed can't cure. If there's a wildfire behind me & my family, friends, that gate doesn't stand a chance.

The foothill homes where the new houses are now used to be unbuildable under the "Williamson Act" but appearantly politicians (Pombo) who owned huge parcels have changed this or "bent the rules" from agriculture to family homes.

This is why you do your homework before buying a house. I live in Tracy too and when we saw Tracy Hills being built, the first thing I said was who wants to live in the fire zone? Sure enough all the Tesla owners moved in.

Looks likes snobs living in Tracy hills. Kinda reminds of Anaheim vs Anaheim hills . The Anaheim hills thought they were Richard only got crapped when fires hit badly 😂😂😂 . Anaheim was protected because of santa ana river

Most modern neighborhoods in California have only a single way in or out. I noticed that YEARS ago, yet people are so profoundly DESPERATE to buy a house in California, they'll buy anywhere... I expect more incidences like this as Californians continue their NIMBY mentality and continue to say no to denser housing, opting to build low density housing outward in to ever increasingly fire prone areas.

As a wildland firefighter up in WA state I looked at the layout of that development and my butt puckered. Who in the world is signing off on permits for those insane developments? Why aren't the developers being required to put more ingress and egress for these developments. I can't even imagine trying to get our fire vehicles in at the same time panicked civilians are trying to flee. What a cluster.

Ridiculous statement, hardly much thought behind the premise. As if all Californians are NIMBY which is also a heinous label attached to residents who don’t appreciate every square inch of their cities densified. Did you notice the fire in Redwood City? There’s construction that is literally in folks’ backyards - up in flames. So much or densification.
