We humans are the most violent animal on earth, it probably is what make us the most dominant species here. A lot of people use metal to channel that violence, which is part of our DNA, so they can be nice and wholesome in their real life.

An outlet to purge as much negativity as possible, allowing oneself to be a kind and wholesome person. We all have the capacity for good and evil, if a piece of art, be it music, video, sculpture, painting, whatever, one can channel the evil side in a controlled way. With death and black metal a lot of people don't understand that the concepts are supposed to be "tongue in cheek", you laugh at cannibal corpses lyrics, not because you think being "fucked with a knife" is funny, but the fact that a band would have a song about it is what you find amusing...

"Death metal is actually good for your mental health" When I was a teen, I liked punk music, metal, etc. But when I got older I realized that it causes you to dwell on the negative. If you fill your head with rage, it doesn't make you calm, it makes you angry. Music is an occult art and the spells the record industry casts on us is satanic. It's designed to destroy us, to erode our traditions and values and to reinforce alienation, anger, depression, and everything bad in the human psyche.

I remember going to record stores a lot when I was a kid in the 90s. I didn't have the money to buy anything, so I just sat there looking at heavy metal CDs, the names of the bands and songs, and imagining how much badass those bands were. I remember that the first time I saw a Cannibal Corpse cover and read the names of the songs I thought, "damn, I think I've found the most bizarre and heaviest band in the universe". Time passed and in the end I ended up not listening to the guys' music much (I was more into heavy metal and punk by the time), but now as an adult, whenever I come across an interview or video of Cannibal Corpse today I'm impressed to see how human and good people Corpsegrinder is. He's like that metalhead friend of yours who's always around making jokes and is your partner in doing nothing with the guys, just to spend time foolishing around together. When I compare the two impressions, I realize that the intention of their album covers and lyrics was just a tremendous marketing ploy.

I'm 46 years old. Three kids. All metalheads just like me. Well adjusted, decent to great grades. We raised them on Speed/Thrash/Death Metal and some of the most viscious horror movies in existence. We also listened to them. We talked. They not only knew our expectations but I damn sure knew theirs. They are people too. They have real feelings, emotions, and VERY valid opinions. They need to know all of those are valued. They need to know the little spot they carve out in this world is not only imoortant to them, but means fucking EVERYTHING to me! When they succeed i am beeming with pride. When the stumble, when they fail? You could light up the night sky. Why? They failed, you say. I say they were brave enough to try. They had the balls to take a chance. Even though they knew a rake to face is probably coming, that didnt stop them. They know to treat others with same kindness and respect that they are expecting. They know that in the end, love matters most. They do struggle a bit with this whole racisim thing though. They didn't understand the concept at first. Because they were raised as this world only having one people who's diffrences make us who we are. It doesn't divide, it solidifies. Instead of questioning diffrences, embrace them. It's heartbreaking because this world has forgotten to Love thy neighbor. You dont have to oike them, hang out with them. But it is your god-given duty to love them. Love you guys. 🤘🤘🤘

What a lot of people fail to understand about metal and metalheads is at a concert its a massive family of people who like a niche type of music and nobody really sees anyone as anything but another fellow metalhead, which imo is amazing for children due to the way everyone treats everyone else (on average, yea ofc theres some bad ones out there) relatively well, i still remember my first concert at like 15 or 16 where i went into a moshpit and had some guy ive never seen before tell me to stick with him to avoid getting hurt lol

Ive met CorpseGrinder (George Fisher) in person. He is such a nice man and doesn't think of himself any more special then anyone else. I loved Chris Barns growing up since he was the OG but he is much more full of himself unlike George Fisher. George is a very genuine guy. He definitely has done well and carried the band through out the years. George is very humble and respected.

I understand why people wouldnt want kids coming to the shows or listening to the music. Its more about the subject matter of the songs rather than whats going on in a live performance outside of the lyrics.

The lyrics are silly fantasy, presented as such. The band doesn't take the lyrics seriously, why would you? I don't. The lyrics are silly and tounge in cheeck at worst. Not to be taken literally. Kids aren't nearly as stupid or impressionable as you may think...

@@PyramidgodMeekman6 Here are some lyrics taken from their song "I Cum Blood" "Swollen with liquid Ready to burst A load of my lymph Will quench this dead body's thirst One month in the grave Twisted and half decayed She turned a putrid yellow I pissed in her maggot filled asshole Fucking the rotting My semen is bleeding The smell of decay Seeps from her genital cavity The smell was unbearable as I unburied her" I could see why someone wouldn't want their child hearing that.

When I was in college, I had a professor ask to talk to me after class. He was my music appreciation teacher and a fellow metal head. I always had band shirts on then and he was writing a paper about the sociology of metal fans. This is one of the things I brought up. I looked different, seemed like an outcast, didn’t dress like most others. But when I went to a show, we were all the same. There were people there in jeans and polos, but were part of the crew. One of the reason I loved going to concerts. Made me realize I wasn’t as weird as my mom told me I was.

He is right. The parents who say "this is not good for the kids" should maybe sit and talk to their kids. Not that the music is bad in any way, but most teenagers who listen to metal or alternative generally don't come from the happiest of families. Saying that as one myself.

He's right. Parents are too worried about "my son listens to devil's music" (probably just some plain rock and roll) but they don't even talk to them. But i also need to say that this is not completely their fault... it is also a result of how they were raised. Nobody really prepares you to become a father or mother... so, i have to understand that parents also make mistakes. We all need to learn from each other.
