Corpse Flower, Butterfly Sanctuary & Getting Hit In The Face By A Cicada
When our original plans for a Butterflies & Brunch event was cancelled we decided to still make a day of it by spending time at some beautiful gardens! After getting hit in the face one time by a cicada I am very glad they never made their way to Chicago.

Great video, it was the bees knees. Really liked the butterfly sanctuary and all the different colours of butterflies.

There were so many pretty butterflies!! I think the blue ones were my favorite.
Beautiful tour! On my list to visit and the temple what an amazing place I agree I’d sit in the shade reading a book too.

Ooo, our corpse flower at the San Diego Botanical Garden bloomed yesterday. It was a nice stinky way to start our weekend!

That was a treat!! GREAT unique basket . . REALLY nice. You can't take too many bunny shots . . they are cute . .

I'm in Berwyn right outside of Chicago, and my garden is full of weeds this year because of my fear of Cicadas. I had a swarm in my backyard. I only watered and ran back in house.

It really is!
Lol I had a cicada come in my house the other night. I wasn't thinking and opened the door to let my dog out and it came crashing in. It thrashed around for about five minutes before I used half a can of bug spray on it. During that twenty minute ordeal...I noticed I still hadn't let my dog out. 🤦🏽♀️
