Been using for a week, battery was 79% when I first put it onto my wrist, now its 33% (7.5 days). Did 1 x 15km, 3 x 6km runs so far, daily wear on my wrist and took it off when I shower. Battery life is good. Wish it kept the white bezel instead of the black in pace 3.

I have the Coros Pace 2 now for 3 years and it is a great tracker for the price but not more. Coros Evolab is not taking swimming and cycling into the account (also the "3"). What I also miss is heartbeat measuring while swimming and an actuall pace while running. Thats why I will change to Garmin FR 965 which is much more money but I also need a bigger display with more resolution because of my old eyes.

Just upgraded from the Pace 2 (which I absolutely loved) and I’m very happy with the Pace 3. Honestly could see Coros taking the top spot over Garmin in the near future. I can’t justify buying any other brand since I’ve gotten into Coros.

What makes the Pace3 better then the now similarly priced Garmin 255. I don't see the Pace 3 winning in multisport support, HR accuracy, advanced analytics or build quality.

If Coros ever decides to make more of a smartwatch and less of a fitness watch I'd definitely buy. These guys know what they are doing 😊

it's gonna be my first watch i dunno if i should go for coros pace 3 or garmin 255 ! it's so hard to choose, i want the best one to start i will keep it for years ! any help? :p

Could switching from Garmin 745 to Coros Pace 3 make sense for a road runner who sometimes swims and does strength training?

Solid informative overview - excellent job outlining differences between Pace 2 & Pace 3. Question: Is there a single button shortcut capability to save waypoints? Many times on hikes I like to save waypoints. Garmin has an option to briefly hold down a button that saved a waypoint almost immediately without having to navigate a menu.

This is a feature on the pace 2 - holding down the back button and scrolling to save location.

He did miss that the Pace 3 display is brighter and has better contrast/better blacks. It’s actually a nice upgrade. The Pace2’s blacks were a tad washed out…had a bit of a bluish tone.

Im pretty sure pace 2 actually also already had a barometric altimeter?

Is the open water swim tracking any better with the Pace 3 over the Pace 2? Also - the discount code comes up as invalid "for the items in your cart" at checkout - how can this code be applied? (Do I need to add the accessory to the cart?) Thx.

I found accuracy very variable on the Pace2, with the path jittering about a lot, and the occasional drop-out (straight line 'jump' of a few 100m). That's my typically experience swimming in a salt water harbour by some hills. With the Pace 3, I've had two lake swims (freshwater, no adjacent hills), and one sea swim (per above), and the accuracy seems spot on. A slight gremlin with the auto-lapping (default every 500m) getting muddled with the manual laps, leading to confusing lap data in Strava, e.g. a 650m "lap" becomes 150m in Strava, a 1200m "lap" just 200m etc. , and the overall distance is massively under-reported. It seems you may have to turn auto-lap off if intending to record manual laps.

You can turn off the lock setting which makes pausing MUCH easier

Having used both.. Garmin, the ecosystem is better, the app is better with nice badges, competing with friends, challenges and better customization. Coros, barebones app.. laser focused on running (I dont cycle or swim so dunno if its good for that) with a rally cool training hub where you can see a lot of info to help you become better. Conclution: Garmin's ecosystem does a good job to nudge you to run more (especially if you have friends using the same ecosystem) whereas coros is a better choice if you are already motivated and want to push it further.

I am looking for help to decide. I want to buy a watch for my running training. I started running this year and used my samsung watch, but i want to switch to a sport watch. I am between the pace 3, apex 2 pro or garmin 255 and 265. My budget is less than 500$ and I dont care if the watch doesnt have amoled display. The pace 3 seems pretty good and I love that it costs 230$, almost half of the others. So what would you recommend

I come from Pace2 which is really nice but I have same thoughts and I am between upgrade to FR955 or 265 but tend to spare some money to buy the better 965 if its a bit cheaper. Main reason are my "old eyes".

I find the HR inaccurate. I train zone 2 so my goal is 131-144 after 10-15minutes I jumps to 165-170 without increasing pace and elevation

How do you find the recovery tracking, as well as the data?

what's the battery life? like # of days if running everyday using gps

I'd say the figure they quote on their site, 38 hours, is fairly accurate. I'm at 44% battery right now and it still predicts that I have 11 hours of nonstop GPS activity I could do. My activities are generally 45 minutes and the battery goes down maybe 3% in that time using all systems on GPS, should be even less usage just using the standard GPS setting.

Nothing beats a Garmin

Coros stop averageing pace. It's really difficult to do to interval this way. I wouldn't buy Coros again for this reason. Coros promised when Apex 2 come out that they "fix" this problem, never happened. Coros Pls do the right thing, change the display settings.

You sound like a salesman. Unbiased reviewers have reported that the elevation tracking is extremely inaccurate in some cases

Haven’t had any issues with elevation! Tested hiking to the top of Australia! And it was accurate to the meter

This is a joke. On a flat road, it shows an elevation of 200m plus. Also the screen quality is awfully cheap. Returning mine this week

Had the Coros and returned it , software problems right out of the box and the screen is too dim , Get the Garmin 965 MUCH MUCH MUCH better!!!!!
