Well Done Neural ! A huge leap in the right direction. I feel like Now I have the product I was anticipating when I bought it. Way more functional for my uses now and Im sure things will continue to improve with continued Development. Would Love to see the marketplace and better quality delays and verbs.

Super cool to see all of these updates but I just want an audible click that matches the tap tempo. This would vastly improve the looper usability IMO.

It'd be nice if you could assign it by output so you could still use a amp and still run a separate feed to iem and foh with impulses or cabs unless I just haven't figured out how yet

@@ironblast5 Simply use a 'Send' output for the external amp and cab (add a gain utility optional as well). Add a splitter prior to the send to the next line below and have your IR routed to the standard Output. This is how I use the QC for live use (stage and IEM/FOH).

The timing of this. I bought my QC a few weeks ago and was only, the other day, complaining to my fiend about the lack of hybrid mode and some other things and BOOM 2 days later it’s fixed. GG neural

Best decision I've made was joining club-cortex. Massive advancements to my tone/sound and control, with efficiencies gained from a UX and physical hardware perspective in chasing that dragon. Was a Neural plug-in user for a while and jumped into the digi-scape with quad cortex. Loving it!!

I mean I don’t know how much this helps but some of the amps used to design the desktop plugins are available, like the Captain 50 for Abasi, EVH blue III for Gojira, matchless for Henson, amongst others, now we got the TuneRoyal too

@@------YeahOK------ dude I haven't even bought a cortex. Why would I purchase something missing a feature I wanted especially when the devs don't even acknowledge it these days? You have every right to be completely happy with your purchase and I'm happy for you. But I'm not spending my money on something that isn't getting the level of support I expect at the price point.

Given the amount of pressure from people expecting so much from a relatively new device against established competition, you've risen to the challenge. I'll be getting one soon and slaving a power amp or getting a power amp for my 2x12.

To be fair, the pressure was based on the promises they made themselves. That said, despite "underdelivering", this still competes with the AXE and I wouldn't be able to say which is better. The hybrid mode is a huge step forward and the quality of life improvements here are excellent. I just ordered mine today. It's already worth it's price ( if you get a demo deal) and is only getting better.

I love my fractal FM3 tones but i still wish i had this level of ease of use as the quad cortex. It’s so impressive. Just a grand more expensive…

Looks and sounds great. Updated this morning. Question, what length IR's can the QC work with? If i remember correctly QC uses quite a short IR length?

One thing that still seems to be missing is the option of typing in the name of the WIFI network to connect to so I don't have to go to the router and unhide it every time I want to connect the QC. Maybe next time!

Hate to be that guy, but where's the option to have the purchased Plugins/Archetypes. I have so many saved presets across each one I just wish more than anything to have them on my QC. It's the reason I bought one honestly. Update looks great, i'll be sure to check it out.

Pretty sure they won't just add all of their plugins. Igmd imagine you can put on the ones that you buy and own. If I'm wrong and they just put every plug in on the QC, that would me a huuuge reason to justify its price even more.

Is the midi functionality affected by the directory redesign? Or would the cc and pc numbers still be the same?

Any chance neural can focus on the vocal abilities of the QC ie. Maybe a mic modeling feature or “autotune” feature

@@------YeahOK------ It's an honest question. For me it's a big deal and I know it's been in the works for some time now and I'm curious if it will be out this year? So now one is a brat for asking a question about a product they own? They could say "not this year but within 18 months because of needed software upgrades first" or something like that and I would appreciate it. I get it .. they just released an update and I hit them with that question .... but for me it's way up there on my want list for this product but I AM curious to where they are at on the release timeline.

When will we get separate pre-amp and power-amp options? I don’t like coloring the tone with power amps twice when bypassing the cab sim and routing it to my 5153 fx return. Is this even on the roadmap for future OS updates?? Of course I can capture the fx output of an amp I own but the whole point of modeling is to enable a plethora of amp models I otherwise could never afford. Can we get some official Neural DSP tutorials on how to use the QC in an analog amp hybrid setup? Some of us still run real cabs live!

What do you mean it doesn’t color of the profiles. They sound great to my return effects of my amp. As a matter fact the pre-amps don’t sound right to me. You may want to like check it out a little better. I’m not trying to be sarcastic I mean you’re missing something. They have both pre and power profiles in a very long list. I use a areal cab. It sounds great.

Pleaseee help me understand the setup I need to plug my quad cortex into to get it to sound proper like demonstrated in this video! PLEASEEE! LOL

One thing I struggle with is developing a sound similar to videos like this. Is there something I’m missing beyond the QC like preamps, or is there a strategic way to setup my rows on the QC? Or am I asking the wrong questions?

What are you looking for what kind of sound? I start off with the amp in the middle and it’s very easily tweaked real quick and then it doesn’t really even need a noise gate I’m using HB’s but if it does there’s two ways you can use one of the noise gates or there’s a new function where you touch the input beginning and there’s a noise gate right there you can control. I personally don’t use an IR I use a regular guitar cabinet and my return effects of my amp head. All drive fx, overdrives and compression I tend to put before the amp. All modulations which I’m not a modulation user sometimes I use a little bit go after them and I just go multi out that’s just me. Again, I’m not using a power block or a computer but there’s so many different ways to use it. And complaining about plug in people don’t realize that this is the best feeling and sounding modeler I’ve ever had and I’ve had two of the big major ones and it is the best UI I don’t know why they need a PC so bad you just use your finger and drag things around it’s simple.

can the presets used in this demo also be downloaded via the app?

My young son has an Apollo Solo Interface he also has the John Petrucci Neural DSP. I know nothing about guitars he says the Apollo does not appear in the audio settings of the Neural DSP. He wants to play thru the Appolo interface to his PC and use the Neural DSP effects.... can anyone help please.

Any idea when cortex mobile 1.5 is going to be available? I've just checked and my version is still 1.4.1 and can't see any options to update (on android anyway)

I had some issue. Went into app store for iPhone and searched for the neural app. Had “update” available.

Great update! Sad that for most of presets the global eq is disabled because of the CPU threshold. Is it 20%? I can't use on any of my presets :( Most of them are around 22% :(
