Tony: ‘Maria, the difference between you and them is the difference between everything and nothing’ Tony really did fall deep for Maria that line sounded so poetic he never stopped loving Maria. he really did fall in love with the right person at the wrong time.

I have the Coronation Street Network DVD boxsets of episodes throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, as well as the tram crash episodes on DVD. I am currently binge watching them in order up until the tram crash, because I consider the first 50 years of Coronation Street it's greatest era. While it is good to watch, if I had this week of episodes on DVD, as well as Jack Duckworth's death episode, it would feel even more complete.

This is the final great storyline Corrie ever had it's upsetting to watch this and see the comedic story arc's that are present now storylines like this happened very often with a great street with relatable and realistic characters the show is missing Scottish, Irish and east end characters which gave some variety also children are very present which should not be the sole purpose of the show

I remember I watched the special episode of Corrie by the time I was teenager and that's a day left until my 14th birthday. James Fleet was very impressed with his character of Robbie Sloan in a bad way to get free man after he released from prison. As a baby, my mom and I only just watched it before in my life, he was role known as Tom (Charles' friend, the one he stuttered) in Four Weddings And A Funeral and then again, he played Hugo Horton in The Vicar Of Dibley (the father of David Horton, the husband of Alice Tinker and the father of Geraldine Horton). He was portrayed Kevin's Dad in Kevin & Perry Go Large and including the special character of Alderman Fitzwarren in the pantomime of Dick Whittington. I think he's funny and generous man in the universe.

I don't mean to be rude, but is English your first language? It is just that you construct your sentences in a strange way. you wrote that you watched this episode "by the time you were a teenager and that's a day left until my 14th birthday" instead of saying you remembering watching this episode as it was on the day before your 14th birthday.

It's odd that during the Underworld Siege Tony reminds me so much of the McKellen Macbeth - I'm so glad that despite everything Tony still loved Maria and didn't harm her and that he eventually let Hayley go free as well. I think he had lost his mind by this point.

Tony still loved Maria, and he made it clear to her he wouldn’t hurt her, in the end he just fell in love with the right person at the wrong time,Maria made him want to be a better person, but he did indeed lose his mind at that point but I think loving Maria somehow kept him going.

I had no time for Tony after he killed Liam. In fact i even stopped watching corrie for a bit as I was so upset, lol. And when this first aired I probably cheered when Tony met his end, but watching it now I feel sorry for him i don't know why. Especially at the beginning when he is taking communion and looks so sad/expressionless. Maybe its because now I am older I recognise that look as someone who has nothing to live for and nothing to look forward to.

I genuinely don’t think he would’ve killed anyone else, he killed Liam because of Carla well he didn’t actually carry out the killing but when he fell in love with Maria that was his ultimate downfall because he let down his guard became vulnerable.
