Mike and the Lowthers were the ones with money and status yet they treated Hilda better than the rest. Bets 'Annie Walker' voice is grating on me greatly. Please tell me she drops it very very soon before I go right off her!? Good idea Ken, that jumper is bound to put off the opposition!

I don't think it was RTerry who burgled Hilda, I do think he respected her. He did know, as he spoke of it, how those burglars operated to make Hilda feel more at peace.

A bit ridiculous to stay in the bedsit after they decided to make peace and plans..they couldve moved back in the interim although staying in the bedsit would help them with renting a council house, which they ended up in. Forward planning.

You can’t blame Gail for wanting a home. The stay at MIL has gone long enough. Every woman wants her home. Besides it gets thrown at her “it’s not your house”.

Both Brian and Ivy treated Gail like dirt. I never liked how women were written back then. Once married they are nothing but an apron-wearing, nagging mummy-wifey slave. How dare she have wants of her own.

But since she married Brian she found out she hated being married and having Nicky so she forced herself into thinking she was trapped and believed highly in this which is the total opposite of having any critical thought, so she weaved herself into thinking everything she did was right when in reality it was not...she still wins in the end though. Brian "You are my wife!" Gail "Your wife!" She actually said that.
