Very nice videos. I pitch while thinking “how would I build a machine to pitch bags. All unnecessary movement is eliminated. Ryan Windsor is a great example of conservation of energy. So simple and so easy to recreate adds to his consistency. The 50/50 pinch and finger snap is the best in the game. Less movement needed compared to the butterfly throw. When you incorporate the finger snap into your throw you gain so much more control with less effort.

As women, our shoulders are narrower and our hips are wider, so there is a need to bend the knee to make room for the toss. Also, we don’t have the same upper body strength that men have, so that little extra calf raise helps provide the distance we need. I wish I could find instructional videos specifically for women instead of comparing us to men.

I see where your logic is going but it’s actually not what happens at the elite pro level. The comparison used would be identical when using an elite man or woman. Elite women have no issues with the distance to the hole and do not require knee bending or calf raising. In fact elite women make it look just as effortless as elite men. To take that a step further we see juniors at the age of 12 years old achieving the needed distance to the hole just is effortlessly.

Great video. You pointed out some great things that I need to work on and all of them seem like minor changes. I hope you'll do more videos like this in the future. Do you think there's any advantage to the butterfly grip?

Hi Eugene. The butterfly grip provides the ability to change bag tilts and bag loading with more ease and accuracy.

Anthony’s videos provide the how and why. In a little over 8 months, I’ve gone from novice to great (even beaten two pros locally). I’m not at the elite level yet, but I will be soon. My advice. Watch one of his videos and put in at least an hour of practice each day on your specific issue. Results will be amazing.

I would love a video on consistency. How to be more consistent and how best to practice to improve it. I might throw two 4 baggers in a row, hit pushes and air mails, then turn around and throw a five. Very inconsistent at times, even though I do not feel like anything went wrong with my throws, so I’m not sure where I went wrong. Then I overthink it and obsess over my throw mechanics and lose focus on the hole so the bad shots continue ... help! 😁
