    DC calls jones the dirtiest fighter ever, yet he's the one eye poking Miocic in the first 2 rounds of every single fight they had. The only reason DC ever beat this guy is because of an intentional eye poke.

    Gotta wonder how different this story would be if DC had simply readjusted to Stipe’s *phenomenal* body attacks in that 2nd fight. DC was dominating up until Stipe started wrecking DC to the body. One of the best trilogies ever. 2 legends, 2 classy dudes with no drama around them.

    Wow!!! The amount of damage that Stipe took in the second fight is incredible to see. He is massively concussed after, and his speech never fully recovered. Even though he won, that fight caused huge damage.

    1:09:17 Ref telling them to "fight clean" while rubbing his eye...what did he mean by this? *Edit: Crazy that the commentators never acknowledge DC's eye-poking (which he did to Miocic a dozen times throughout the trilogy) but the one time DC gets eye-poked, they make a big deal about it. And then right after DC takes that one eye poke, of course he pokes Miocic's eye right away and the commentators completely ignore it, even calling it a "right hand" lol.

    Wow! The best ufc heavyweight trilogy so far in my humble opinion! Cormier is a legend a true champion and martial arts warrior! What he achieved and did was amazing! Even though he lost the last fight and trilogy he won overall as what he had to overcome the struggle to get to the top and becoming double champ everything even Miochic didn't do that but he is the heavyweight champion and to be the best you have to beat the best and he has done that!

    This trilogy was so awesome. I was going for DC in the first fight, second fight I wanted Miocic to win, and third fight I wanted DC to win! Both are such likeable personalities. And both left it all in the ring, every fight. Thankful I got to watch all three fights, and experiences it again just now!

    Man, as a DC fan watching him go through what he did with Jones, watching him become champ champ was one of the happiest moments in MMA for me. I'll never forget it. DC GOAT. Stipe's chin was something else in the second fight man, you could tell DC was surprised with how much punishment he was able to take. DC hit him with some HARD shots. Third fight I think DC could have had a finish in round 1 if he wasn't feeling guilty about the eye poke.

    I think people from Ohio don't need to use as much brain power, so they can take more shots. It's gotta be the only explanation for Stipe's iron chin. He fought Ngannou twice and he doesn't seem all that messed up for it.
