It was at this moment I realised this is GOTY 2024.

This track is the reason that I ran around that desert on foot, no matter how much longer it took, rather than use the buggy unless I absolutely had to.

I have such an unhealthy obsession with this track

This track feels so relaxing but yet so adventurous at the same time how can you mix opposite feeling on a same song godamn rebirth ost is killing it

This is my favorite song of the game so far

This is is absolutely perfect. Rebirth has a plethora of amazing tracks, but this one right here just NAILS it. This is the acoustic incarnation of "adventure". Edit: (Temporary) Shoutout to SqEx for still not having this taken down after 12 days. Maybe some Mercy for once pls, since we cannot hear your stuff outside of the game officially?

Truly captures the feeling of exploration, kind of reminds me of Zelda.

I freaking love when then Orcadian kicks in at 1:10. It's just so good!

ive been in corel for about 2 weeks and I don't want to leave it omg but Im finally in the buggy and on to the next. This region has been so amazing as soon as you land at Costa Del Sol. This track is SO GOOD.

Cello is def the hero instrument for me in this track!

There's even more accordion in the original version, but at some point in the game it cannot be heard anymore. A shame!

I wonder if this one might actually be 3/4. I'm just not feeling that two-sets-of-triplets (comprising two dotted-quarter notes each, thereby making 8th notes the basic unit of measure) type of pulse. I'm very much feeling two pairs of 8th notes comprising each quarter note, of which there are three. And it's not at all awkward to count 1+2+3+ .... The percussive instruments (and faint guitar strumming) really reinforce that strongly. For a point a comparison, you've got the North Corel theme (Holding My Thoughts in My Heart--Seabreeze) that is very clearly 6/8, with two sets of triplets per measure (which are not only implied, but played out on the orchestral harp and chimes or some similar instrument). And if you try counting that one 1+2+3+ as if it were two pairs of 8th notes per beat, it's very awkward. (Although, the intro to that one, of course, is in 4 before it changes).

It's so worth the wait, my friend.. my favorite osts is this. VS. Dyne, VS. Terror of the Deep, Escort Sam (bow wow wow), Gongaga Region theme. You name it. This game is so full of life in the osts

Honestly not a bad combo, those 2 have been carrying me almost my entire playthrough. Barret with lifesaver, steelskin, barrier, and chakra makes him a crazy damage tank, and cloud lays into the enemy while yuffie is usually able to exploit their weakness.

I use them together most of the time, Yuffie never leaves the party and I really like having a tank for when she draws too much aggro as her ATB gain is insane.

Why does it remind me of The Lick?

Wondering if that one is Hamauzu’s. Doesn’t sound like him (except that bit from 1:44 from 1:52) but the harmonies are so good it could be.

Don't personally hear it with this track but the theme that plays when you fight the jenova monster in the boat after leaving junon sounds very NieR-ish, with the vocals they use

Can anyone else hear the Dragon Roost Island melody from Zelda Wind Waker between 2:08 and 2:20? It’s slower and misses a couple notes but it’s close enough to almost be a direct quote.

I loved grassland, Junon, Nibelheim and Corel was my favorite. But Gongaga and Cosmo was really annoying. The 3D maze like map took away the joy of simple exploration.

Putting ads in the middle of the track M8? Really?
