Well done I was very sceptical at the start of the video but what you did was really good
Great video
good job, i like that guide attachment
Thanks for the vid, we have a similar drill in work using a cup with the same diameter but a smaller depth. It has a pilot bit in the middle which we line up with the pre-drilled pilot hole. We don't use a stand to hold the drill so no need to insert threaded bar in the wall to hold it. We line up the drill, hold it straight and steady, put a bit of pressure and let it do the work. It has a small level on the top of the body to tell you you're level. If you get your house insulated and need to put vents in each room, our way might be a less time consuming less expensive way of doing it.
Great video, i really enjoyed that. Thinking about buying one of these for my work

thanks. yes a good bit of gear. it does need mounting on something solid and stable though
Thanks for sharing 😀
Great thanks very much 😁
Careful. They might think you were on the Hatton Garden job.
This was helpful, thank you. Just considering if I should rent similar machine or get a pro to do the job.
At least your usin a good machine....but on that soft wall I would bolt thru for mounting....good vid👍🇺🇸
25 years later he opened the hole 😂
Thanks for the very helpful video. I have a very similar wall to core except I wish to drill down at 45 degrees from the inside. Roughly how long did it take you once you starting coring?

not long, I went slowly with water flowing for cooling and dust/ dirt clearing the cutter. Stopping and starting to remove loose stones and cuttings that might have jammed it. No more than 30 minutes of actual cutting time for me. I had a 5 degree angle (it was for a boiler flu)
How much was it to hire that beast buddy?
I'm curious to know how you removed that rod you glued in the wall.

using two nuts on the threaded bar tightened and therefore locked together, I just unscrewed it out of the wall.
Incredible. Where did you hire the drill and column?

central heating boiler flue
I am guessing your Core Hole did not have to be precise?

fairly precise, I needed a 5 degree back slope and also the drilling of a pilot hole to ensured the proper location
Nice job. What kind of bunce we talking for hiring a beast like that?
