"The Copyright Owner" should only be referred as such when they can prove it. All the time copyright claimants are scammers who exploit the system in order to steal the revenue from your content.

With KZread's new CEO, he should address this problem. The claimant should give proof or evidence that they own the music, this is a loophole on KZread's side that this scammers keeps on exploiting

I’m late as hell but like after you finish your video you have to go up too to add the sound and once that’s added you might be hearing 2 songs so what you have to do is go to the bottom where it say volume and turn original sound all the way down then it should only be the added music if that’s what your trying to do

If it is CC-free music, then you can and should Dispute, and make it very clear. If they ever decide to reject the Dispute, you can contact KZread Copyright Team for such illegal actions.

I’ve never had a copyright claim before on many of my videos. When it comes to the drawing videos, I always mute the videos themselves so I can add the music in from KZread studio’s library, but it’s also cuz I don’t trust myself in looking for copyright free music right now since I’m satisfied with what KZread studio’s library offers. If it works for me, then it works for me

@@MintysunniX Yeah. My videos are just me drawing stuff based on what my audience requests me. Any background noise is muted in my videos, and I use yt studio’s audio library for music, which for me is good enough and a safe enough route. So I’ve been riding a safe path for my videos, and I’m glad for the quality they are at for now

Did your shorts have existing audio/music before you uploaded them? If yes, probably that’s the reason why. Instead of doing so, try to use the audio from the available shorts audio library.

@@Sugarysugarcane Thanks for the advice friend, but I can assure you that everything I upload prior to using the KZread shorts music is free from copyrighted background music. As a matter of fact, the original background sounds are turned off when the shorts library sounds are used. We even get copyrighted on the “Unstoppable” track by Sia that is probably the most popular song used! Super crazy!!! 😝

Just except the copyright claim. I looked at your channel and your not monitized yet, so you won't loose much money over it. By the time you do get monitized you will probably get a lot more views per video anyway.

I have been hit with two. One from clipchamp and the other from capcut. Both of which supposedly say I can use them. One is just sounds for Pete's sack!!! So annoying. Why should I use either if it only gets me a copyright claim?!!!

I used music on a short from my editing app on my phone. The had a copy and paste for description so you don't get copyright ... but it got copyrighted anyways. Should I fight it with I have the song and artist in my description??

I also post my stuff to Facebook automatically. My video reacting to the last Nintendo direct got blocked in 30 countries by Warner Media for containing music from one of the Arkham games. I had the volume pretty low and was REACTING TO THE TRAILER! I disputed it, but nothing has changed yet

They also get notified of your full legal name and address. I don't know why you failed to mention this.

Whoever is reading DONT give up on your channel. Think about all the hard work that you have already put in. Every youtuber was once in your spot they just kept going. Stay consistent and you will reach your goals. consistent uploads and improvement and some determination is all you need! I am going for 275 subs by the end of November!!!

Yes, it does that a lot with using popular copyright musics where ads play on the video whether or not the original creator wants them or not.

Dude I keep getting copyrights on KZread if I put ANY song and I’m uploading the video as a short and it’s giving me music to choose from. Makes no sense. Why does this keep happening?? Also, sooo can we use music on our shorts (like choose a song like it suggests you to do when uploading your short video. Says “add song” at the top. I pick from that selection. I remember hearing about these 2 infamous scammers, Jose Teran and Webster Batista, who managed to make a whopping $23 Million in false copyright claims against Latin musicians. The Content ID system needs a serious change.

It just stops you from getting money from them not anything else don't worry but copyright strike is dangerous 3 copyright strikes will get your channel whole videos to be deleted

I always put a different sound in half way (like a bell or something) so it doesn't register

If it says owner allows that’s still a problem if you want to get your videos monetized. If you don’t then you can probably keep it on the channel.

I’ve got a copyright claim and put the channel owners OF THE SOUNDS it is annoying

I use the basic vidiq. One of the videos for a daily idea was "Free Fortnite account. Email and password in the description." I posted it and got 100 views, whatever. 2 days later I woke up and got a copyright claim! FIX YOUR SYSTEM!

I have had this issue for a while now and I’ve tried emailing the owner of the audio for this reason because I worked so hard on a animation that took me many months (close to a year) and I still have to wait until I get approved to use the audio. Now that I know this exists I don’t have to wait so much longer! (I found out their email was closed a month ago lol)

Got a copy rite notice but not a major claim, it’s was a fortnite video where someone does the Darth Vader walk and the music is in the background, but it was 5 second so while they marked it as a notice they did not give me a strike.

That's really kinda simple. In uploading the video it asks if the content is mature or not and you select such. Unless you're trying to put mature content in front of kids...

If it is sped up, music, does that mean it’s still copyright claim even though you sped up the music on your own and didn’t take the sped up music off other peoples channel?

I cannot find any KZreadr talking about this! Please VidIQ, can you cover this... Copyright claim on youtube short using Epidemic Sound. So basically both youtube and Epidemic Sound say there's nothing to worry about if this happens on a short. But everyone on youtube basically says copyright claims are no good. So what's the deal? Do you leave your content up unchanged or do you dispute? Here's what Epidemic Sound says on their website "The Shorts policy means that KZread has detected a track from the Epidemic Sounds catalog in your Shorts. When you dispute something it means your challenging their claim. When there is a copyright claim on your channel; you can challenge the person claiming by starting a dispute.

does it work when I uploaded a video that was 2-3 years ago?

I had carefully selected a public domain song as the main music for my videos. Six months and some 60 videos later, I started getting copyright claims on the music. I won every dispute, because I could prove the song was in public domain, but still I received two to three copyright claims every single day. I think the so-called copyright holder just wanted me to " settle" with them to make it go away. Instead, I selected new music and re-edited Every. Single. Video. What a hassle!
