There are a lot of us Jamaicans here in Kenya... we have formed a nice little Jamaican community.

Thank you for the work that you're doing on the Continent. I recently discovered your channel. I'm a British-Jamaican currently living in Zambia. I lived in Tanzania for a year prior. I left Tanzania in 2022 due to the challenges with immigration. I have my own view on the reasons the 'system' is set to fail us, but that's a discussion for another day. I am hoping to visit Kenya (for the 4th time) toward the end of April. Let me know if you and your family will be there around that time.

Your love for Kenya is evident. Don't give up, it's a beautiful country with lovely people despite the current political regime making it hard for everyone. Once you overcome all these challenges, you will never regret ur decision

There is a Black American from Texas Mubarak Abdul Muqsit Akram who currently lives in Mombasa and has several businesses in Kwale Coast of Kenya . He moved to Kenya in 2008 at 62 and is currently 78 . He has filed a law suit against the Cabinet secretary of interior, director of immigration and Attorney General in the high court of Mombasa seeking to be granted Kenyan citizenship and a passport and ID in 30 days . He is claiming personal/business ties to Kenya and a right of return due to his ancestors being forcefully taken from the continent and wants to make Kenya his ancestral home .

The right of return for Black descendants/African descendants was guaranteed in the Abuja Nigeria declaration of 1993 . The right of return stipulated that African descendants had a right to return in any country of choice in the continent . The Abuja declaration is an integral part of Kenya constitutional law . Feel free to reach out to the guy and you can enjoin other Black descendants/Black Americans domiciled in Kenya in the lawsuit .

@@AfroJamaican The law suit can set precedence since Kenyan constitution recognizes the Abuja Nigeria declaration of 1993 . Constitutional interpretations and lawsuits are typically not only active as per petitioner if implemented but also symbolic or universal .

@@AfroJamaican Also most dual citizenship laws in the continent have been emergent and Kenya re-adjusted its constitution to recognize this after 2008 . He(Abdul) got there in 2008 . For instance Obama family and their surrogates are eligible due to ancestry and kinship . Obama had previously mentioned his desire to retire in Kenya . But politicians? Tanzania and Ethiopia do not recognize dual citizenship but residence . Other East Africa jurisdictions including Uganda and Rwanda have dual .
