I was watching you on Saturday Norman, looking very relaxed. I couldn't get my sea kayak out beyond the dumping surf, but it was fun trying to handle it in broken water. New Year's resolution, learn to roll on weak side and try to look as cool as the orange helmet.

Jose, I am currently using three fins but the centre fin is a 2.5 inch. Thinking of making them all 2.5 inch.

Water temp varies in January between 7 and 5 deg C.

how many fins?3 , 2 righ and left?only central? ok i see now 3

I've heard Banshee has some of the traits of a IC surf kayak, while measuring at a more of a HP kayak length. Can You comment on that too please? Would this be a good alternative to an IC kayak for surfing smaller weaker waves at 0,5-1 meter? Thanks :)

I have the Mega Bullitt IC boat along with the Banshee both have a similar feel/fitting when getting into them. The Banshee as you say has a lot of the characteristics of an IC boat but just fits into the HP (short boat class for competitions), it has a flatter profile/rocker. The Banshee will catch smaller waves easier than a Mega Neutron.

Thanks, cool videos.. especially taking into account the Greenland paddle :) Mega Neutron is a full-on HP surf kayak, right? How would You compare the Mega Banshee and Bullit in that video.. my problem is that I cannot test ride a Banshee as we have no distributors, probably can get my hands on an older Mega IC kayak. I usually surf small sandy break and would love to get the easiest acceleration on small weak waves. Would You say that an IC kayak would be better for this purpose? :)

I would go for the Banshee for the conditions you describe. The IC is better for longer fatter waves.
