COPPERONITA | A Short Film About Creation
Музыка
In this film I finish and assemble the Copperonita, a project esquire telecaster based on a Fender Road-Worn neck and an aftermarket ash body gilded with tarnished copper leaf and finished with Danish oil. The pickup is a DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF humbucker and the bridge is a Wilkinson 3-saddle shorty tele bridge. The crucifix is antique bronze and I believe it is French.
I also discuss what it takes to be creative and what that means to me. These are just some general comments, not a how-to guide, but I hope that you find some of it useful, perhaps even inspiring. You can use the chapters to skip ahead to parts of the build or to hear the finished guitar.
I have omitted the copper leaf weathering process because it involves toxic and corrosive chemicals I'm not qualified to give advice about. The process is simple and if you want to try something similar there are resources online that will show you how.

Really love this video! I love watching the creative process as well as listening to your philosophies on creativity. The guitar looks spectacular and I hope it brings you indescribable joy every time you pick it up to play. I would also love to see a time-lapse video of all the footage of you working on this guitar, if that is available (maybe Patreon content)?

Thanks man, I'm gald you enjoyed it, and thanks as always for watching. The time-lapse thing is a great idea - I haven't done it yet mostly due to boring technical stuff like data storage but definitely in the pipeline.
I hope to see it at your next gig :)
