These videos have really gotten my young boys into herping, or just looking for bugs and stuff in general. Yesterday we found our first Eastern King and got to handle it! We also saw one or two black racers. It was on a popular trail and when I told people it was a King a lot of them said "oh they're supposed to be good aren't they". That was good to hear, it's videos like this that help educate people (including my self).

They have an interesting pattern, and i wanted to be sure what kind of snake it was living in my backyard. Not knowing what i was looking at i thought it might have been a baby Timber Rattlesnake, although after doing some research that clearly wasn't the case. Neat little snakes though.
