2 fun facts. It are midnight at the very first bell. Denmark this new year had a record low number of eye injuries, hard to believe when looking at this footage. 5 persons in the entire nation had lasting damage to their eye´s.

@@jmvlog143 No no. Was just something I knew and when I saw so many mentioning the danger, I thought I would add some stats. I have tried to be at Copenhagen Townhall Square at new years, including when the millennium changed and it really are a little incredible, that no more gets hurt considering the combination of party, alcohol and fireworks. Thanks for your uploads.

I was wondering, why do people shoot the flying explosives towards each other? I notice this a lot in German Silvester video's as well. But in this specific settiing it seems extra weird because it happens at a (from the looks) by local government organized place where everyone can light their fireworks.. SAFE?. I mean, as a dutch guy.. I understand insane firework traditions. We blow stuff up, thousands of euro's often.. spend on fireworks. Well see for yourself in fireworks video's from the Netherlands. But we don't have that typical shooting rockets at each other kind of tradition. So I'm curious about it, thnx! Loved your video :))

I am totally agree with you. Normally fireworks go up, but when people are drunk, then they shoot each other as a fun but they shouldn’t do that. I was in the middle of it and I get lots of firework explosion under my feet but nothing happened. Yes because I have a safety shoes😘 happy new year to you and your family. It isn't a tradition mostly young people who think it's funny shooting them at each other insanely stupid and in one of the main reasons why the rules for fireworks is getting thigter normali i would wish harm for anyone but those people they are doing it to others so i really hope on of the fireworks take there hand or MBY a finger then they will stop and realise the stupidity

It's not safe at all no, but every Dane also knows that's a risk you take if you decide to go to city hall square at new years eve.

London New year's fireworks - professional Sydney New year's fireworks - professional Copenhagen New year's fireworks - complete chaos (and not in a good way)

London and Sydney the government arrange all these fireworks, and here people arrange all these shitty fireworks so that’s why very complete chaos lol… that was a good one 😂

if you compare this to the Netherlands are there not so much fireworks.
