(EDIT 14.07.2024) - For all the people who sadly watch videos solely to point out errors, I'm fully aware that you don't need to tap in/out using a paper ticket - I even explained this at the end of the video. I didn't have a plastic travel card to demonstrate with, so used my paper ticket to highlight what to do. Maybe try watching and listening carefully before sending abusive comments to someone who's just trying to help others navigate around Copenhagen. (Original) - Wow, what a great city this place is! I highly recommend you visit the Danish capital. If you like or have found this video helpful, be sure to share this video 😀

If you like board games when relaxing then I would recommend to visit Bastard cafe it has more than 1000 board games and alot of them are free to use, the price lvl of drinks etc is the usual cafe lvl in Copenhagen. If you like Ramen, then I would recommend slurp ramen (reservation is not possible and it's small). If you like tea , then try check Perchs tea they also have a cafe on 1 floor visit their homepage to get description on how to enter it's defficult to see, it's restored like 1700 rooms. If you like choklate check out Frelsens chokolade they are expensive but good quality.

Hi Nick, thanks very much for your kind comments. Hmmm, less than 10 hours in Copenhagen? You could in theory do a circular loop and see most of what the city has to offer: Kongens Nytorv > Nyhavn (and a boat tour around the city) > Amalienborg Palace / Marmorkirken > Little Mermaid / Kastellet > Rosenborg Castle & Grounds (from the outside, don't go in) > Rundetaarn > Stroget and back to Kongens Nytorv. If you have time to do more, you can - but those are probably the must see things if you only have a short time. Hope that helps?

Thanks, glad this video inspires you to go! As for museums, it's pretty easy to get in for free. To do it like a pro: watch for someone coming out of the exit and see which colour sticker they've got on. Then find a similar sticker (or with the day's date on it), stick it to yourself, walk into the ticket office and then straight back out and into the exhibit. Act entitled. Nobody will suspect a thing. ;)

I was a little bit put off by Tivoli Gardens, so I never bothered with Bakken. I might go back one day, maybe?
Informative and to the point. I have two questions. 1. Are the canel trips worth the money? And how much is per trip? 2. Can we buy ticket on mobile app and carry the ticket digitally? Please answet if you have any knowledge on these.

Hi, thanks very much. 1) The canal trips are okay, there are several companies that offer different rides with different prices (some include dinner, some don't). 2) Most of the time, you just buy them from the sellers standing around at Nyhavn. There are some companies where you can book in advance, but I've found that it's not necessary. Hope that helps?
Quick question for you, I have a Operator ID # and a Flyer ID # for the UK. Do you need something similar to fly in Scandinavian countries or will that work? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Hi Jon. The Fly and Operator ID's that the UK Government issue are only valid in the UK. The rest of Europe's countries differ but they have something similar in place (i.e. where you have to register it with the government). Sadly each country appears to have its own different rules, so for example when I droned in France, I had to display a government issued number (which was free) and in some other countries, I had to pay for a permit. I think Denmark is covered by the EASA, so if you register with them and display the number on your drone, you should be good.

@@UltimateBucketList,
Hello! I will be having a layover in Copenhagen and would like to tour the country for half day. What is the best way to take (train, bike or ???) and where iwpild you recommend places to go???

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. The best thing to do is rake the train or metro to Kongens Nytorv, then explore everything around there, such as Nyhavn, the Marmokirken, Amalienborg Palace, the Little Mermaid / Kastellet, you'll have time to do a bit of shopping and possibly see Rosenborg Castle, but half a day probably isn't enough time to do everything in this video. Hope that helps?
The first picture you show from „Rosenborg Castle“ isn‘t Rosenborg Castle, it is „Frederiksborg Castle“ in Hillerød.

Amazing! You even got the Carlsberg 47, one of my favorites here in Denmark! How’d you like it? 🍺🍺

@@UltimateBucketList A very good choice my friend 👌🏽😜 btw, are you gonna make any more whisky vlogs? I love the ones you have already made, especially the one on Islay, I have watched it countless times 😅

Thanks! I was planning to do a Highland Whisky Trail during this summer (Dalmore etc.) to co-incide with a video on the NC500. Sadly, the summer seems to be filling up with work, so it might be later in the year.
Hello, if one cannot visit all 3 palaces , which one palace would you recommend to go to?

Excellent question! If you only have time to do one - probably go to Rosenborg as it's a lot more interesting with more stuff to see than maybe the other two. My favourite was Amalienborg, but Rosenborg would be my choice for any tourist.
Hi Ninh thanks for another excellent travel guide, the little mermaid is tiny and dare i say a bit overrated, but the rest of the city looked fantastic.

Oh yeah, it's totally overrated. But the rest of the city was fine (except Tivoli Gardens and Cisterne). Bring lots of money for food though!
Complete guide. Lol, you gave it a jab. T'is but a flesh wound. 😎❤

Well obviously I can't cover absolutely everything in less than 30 minutes ... especially if I don't want to bore people to death. Nice Month Python reference by the way!
It's a great video of my city , I agree Tivoli is very expensive however it is so beautiful so I do recommend it even if you are not interested in amusement parks like me-I go there for the atmosphere and beauty Saturday night there is fireworks, there are often concerts ect. one correction the Queen don't own Christiansborg or Amalienborg she actually only own 1 of the many castles in Denmark and it is called Marselisborg Castle it is in Århus and then she have a hunting "cottage" plus she owns the Royal ship and a castle in France - most castle are owned by the state and some are privately owned , the Royal family have the right to use Amalienborg, Gråsten castle and Fredensborg castle plus some areas of Christiansborg

Thanks. I think Tivoli is more fun with friends, and I'm sure I would have had a better time if someone else was there (and most of the park wasn't shut and it wasn't terrible weather outside). I don't believe I ever mentioned if the Queen owns anything, I merely stated that Amalienborg is the Queen's official residence (but most of the time doesn't actually live there).
As a fellow Mancunian to the narrator, I have to say that our home city of Manchester is far friendlier and welcoming than the Danish capital. I found Copenhagen to be very safe and had plenty of cool attractions and trendy hip neighbourhoods like Frederiksburg, Nyhavn and Vesterbro and Christianshavn and I thought Copenhagen was a beautiful city with lovely architecture, Tivoli was great with my son who loved it as did I, however there was definitely a reservedness and coldness amognst the Danes that I experienced less.of in even London of all places. When we opened doors for people there was never a thank you and when I moved my sons buggy to one side to let people pass on narrow pavements again there was no acknowledgement, dont get me wrong I did meet some friendly locals but ut definitely didnt have the warmth of other cities in Europe. The food was great however, especially the bakeries and good coffee as you would expect from a Scandinavian city.

Thanks. I can agree with that to a certain extent. People 'up north' are generally friendlier than most, but didn't experience any of the coldness that you did. Maybe they have different decorum and levels of manners, but I didn't find that 'rude' or anything like that? Danes are relatively pleasant people to deal with :)

Great that you enjoyed our capital🤗...but the " natives" can in certain places of the city, be a bit to used to tourists...so it quickly becomes superficial.... but if you travel north of Copenhagen to for example, my city Hillerød...or just about any other place in Denmark😁...you will truly experience our natural hospitality first hand😉

i think the reason may be that the city gets 20 million visitors per year, while only having 600k people in the city proper. so a lot of them might be very "used" to tourists, new people and so on..
Sct Peder's Bageri is definitely good.
