The beauty of old high mileage 4x4's.
I think I’d prefer the hail damage over our rust belt here in Ohio with all the salt... awesome bud as always Randy! Makes my evening watching your videos!

I live in a rust belt state I had a lb7 duramax with the zf6 manual transmission and the frame failed at only 97,000 miles and it wasn’t from road salt or snow but rather salt water damage my grandfather ruined the truck because he never washed it after using it
190K is nothing for a diesel 200k is just breaking it in

Yeah specially when it has been redneck converted to 2WD by removing its trans axle

@@andrewherrera2736 what does that have to do with reliability..? no possibility of front cv axles breaking? lol
That LBZ 2500 is highly sought after. They're the most reliable version of the Duramax. Good buy if you can afford it

its an LLY duramax. you can tell by the air box and gauge cluster

I like the lb7, not really head gasket issues or anything major like the lbz other than the fuel injectors which you need to remove the valve covers for but once that job is done it's good for like 200,000km

This are great trucks we have one twin to it and it has 450,000 miles and has only had a transfer case. The Duramax runs awesome.
They’re typically reliable just keep up with the injectors and maintenance and you’re good for 1,000,000 miles even in a duramax but that one has the lly
Good ol GMT800's. There's a reason every high school kid in even a slightly rural area develops a serious love-hate relationship with them. Almost everything you will need to fix can be done in your home garage with mostly basic tools that nost kids in these areas already have access to
As always Randy another great Copart walk around. Honestly if you clean up that Duramax it would be a great truck and even find another steering wheel to make it look better. Those are pretty reliable trucks. Keep up the sweet videos👍.
That’s a perfect parts truck. The bed the doors the hood the new number they threw on there the engine the axles so much money in parts.
Love the Dodge!! Keep em coming
Randy glad that you’re feeling better buddy and getting around to doing thing’s!! Seen the video that @Motor Garage did about you and subscribed to them for being respectful to you!!! Keep up the great work buddy.
I hope that you are doing good,., love the videos keep them coming
Hey randy, we definitely appreciate all you content you my number 1 channel I watch all he time lots of prayer for u and your family
I already follow randy on everything just because he's awesome
190k for a 2005 Duramax is pretty decent. Average 12k a year,no big deal here.Tail gate is in bad shape but the rest is okay. The 4wd stuck in 4H is maybe a solenoïd. If the price is right it worth a shot
Haha Randy that’s a LBZ. Depending on what you can get it for… those trucks will pull anything. That engine is rock solid.

It’s a LLY not a LBZ
Thanks for bringing us along with you to see them work trucks that ram would be the one I would like to save by choice
Love your videos keep making them and that red Ford truck yeah you can tell it's wrecked by in the video with the way the bumper shoved up into the grill and everything
Good luck my friend. More please.
First comment and first view love your videos keep it up how are you doing hope you are back home safely by now
She has been a great worker
Nice looking truck. Has the 6.6 litre durumax diesel. It does have the Allison automatic transmission which has the outside filter. Does have all the toys IE electric rear window defroster, air conditioning, AM/FM Stereo radio with cassette and CD player, aluminum alloy wheels, towing mirrors, tow package,.
it will run ✌
More Diesel walkarounds :3
Randy brother I hope that everything is alright with your family and I hope that everything works out with your body healing from the injuries you have endured
thats why my 2012 silverado 4x4 has manual shifting into 4 high and low, never trusted or liked push button 4 wheel drive
Bent frame day and thanks for your vlogs
Nice seats in the 2005 Duramax.
I saw the 4LO light on before you said anything about it in the video and I was screaming Randy!! It’s stuck in 4LO 😂 I’ve had so many of these trucks it’s such a common problem with 2000’s model GM trucks
Those gmt800 trucks in gas or diesel are one of the best trucks to own
Hey buddy good luck
They are good trucks
With my grandmas Tacoma, I had to put in in drive and let it roll without gas/brake for it to shift of out 4WD
If I needed one , I’ll buy one without hesitation
Its been definitely rode hard and beat up but it looks real good for its age.
That truck is like the Seinfeld car that no one could get in and drive because of the smell LOL
Hey! A little tip for when you come to auctions- bring a mask :) for the smells ofc
Good way to start Monday morning with few diesel trucks Randy think gold 05 Silverado 2500HD is the winner alot better to work on although 2020 Ram Cummins is nice too with little suspension & frame work be amazing work truck the laugh of the day was clapped out 03 F250 with 5.4 Triton powerplant nope for me.
Hello! NICE channel! amazing video. I'm your fan +👍🔔
I've found out shutting off the but leave the key on often let's them shift out of four low
Nice and sunny there. I'm wondering how I am getting to work in the snow tomorrow.
It’s a good engine
That duramax is perfect especially since it’s a 06 could be a lbs the million mile motor for chevy
That Super Doody definitely got in a wreck!
You have to put it in neutral to get it to shift ranges
I know I'm late to this party, but on GM HD trucks, the transfer case is likely toast. The case is magnesium and the oil pump housing is stamped sheet metal, which heavy loads (clearly this one towed a lot) will cause the sharp pump housing to eat tiny holes in the softer case, and since nobody maintains the transfer case properly, they don't notice it leaked out the fluid until it slowly eats itself... If it's having issues (very unlikely the solenoid/encoder is bad as these trucks use CANBUS for everything and the controls will go dark if there's a bad electrical part the computer can test for functionality... And to manually shift these, the solenoid has to be pulled), you'll need a new/good low mile used NP263XHD to crack open and install an oil pump kit that will make it bulletproof. *Ask me how I know!* As far as the engine goes, the LBZ (2006.5-2007 classic) and early 06 LLY (a lower tune LBZ before they bumped up the power and renamed it for 06.5... The early 06 LLY is *not* the same as the 05 LLY or early LB7) are the ones everyone wants. Pre-DEF and basically bulletproof (the 07+ new body style with the LMM added a bunch of emissions that aren't as reliable... Not terrible, but worse than the LBZ). As far as the transmission goes, the 06+ with the 6 speed Allison 1000 automatic are the bees knees... These things are used in medium duty trucks and school buses (in busses, 6th it's usually electronically locked out), so in a "light" duty truck like this, it'll outlast the truck. Note that a 6 speed manual was available up until early 06, but the Allison is tougher and has a higher tow rating (the 06.5+ Duramax makes too much torque), so not many were sold, making the early 06/stick combo super rare. The 6 speed Allison is easily identified as it has manual mode (and PRNDML in the instrument cluster) with the buttons on the shifter. It was also available on the 8.1 gasser (but the Allison was never put in the vans [even with the Duramax] or Suburbans [even with the 8.1], likely because it wouldn't fit [Duramax/Allison swaps in 3/4 ton Suburbans require a 2" body lift to clear the transmission bellhousing]). I originally thought this was a gasser as it's curiously missing the telltale "Duramax Diesel" badge on early 06 and older or the "Duramax/Allison" badge on 06.5-07 that is directly above the 2500HD badge on the doors. Also plan on replacing the instrument cluster/radio/climate to make it sellable... unless you're good at soldering as they used non-replaceable incandescent bulbs soldered onto the circuit board. Early models also had issues with the gauge motors going bad and being erratic. Lastly, on the Ford, it does likely have a front clip swap as all the gassers have the "Triton V8/V10" badge between the headlight and wheel well. A diesel should clearly say DIESEL FUEL ONLY on the fuel door/cap (unless it's been replaced) and instrument cluster.
That red one would be a good off road farm only hay moving truck or something where it’ll just be put to work until it’s time to part it out
Hello Randy. The 2005 Chevrolet Silverado HD is a good truck. The other cars and trucks are decent. How is everything going with your uncles house?
Miss old classic intro !!!
The second truck just needed a Telephone Pole Repair Kit. TPRK is all..
Encoder motor normal on a GM truck of that vintage. I've replaced a few of them on the various ones I've owned
Good morning Randy
Yes
Aren’t diesel fuel caps traditionally green, as well on Fords?? I wonder if the runningboards on that Dodge Ram were for the model with the extra long cab. Something you never noticed probably because you couldn’t get that Chevy Cat Eye, had a check engine light on, Cat Eye is another name for those front ends.
Do you think opening the 4 doors and allowing the smell to disappear would help...
another great walk around. any chance we can get a look at the ford transit van that was next to the red Ford 250?
Gotta put it in park to change it the 4 low and what not
I like the RAM truck and frame damage can be fixed on a frame machine or most truck the front part can be removed and add a new One like a car
Hi Randy the F250, might be something Monkey wrench Mike might be interested in it to fix up in his channel. 👍 Anyway keep up the good work from Dave in Australia.
Put the trans in neutral when shifting in 4x4
I wonder if the red f250 got damaged being yanked sideways or at an angle getting pulled out of being stuck.
used to have to back up a little too get it out of 4 lo.
The new model rams you have to straighten it can't be cut or sectioned because of the hardened steel.
Wouldn’t the Ram bent frame be on the inside on the passenger side as it’s bent in
The 66 drumax diesel engine is good
Slight hail damage aside, this is a decent looking truck. It ain't pretty, but it will be a good first truck/ project for somebody. (After it gets aired out and fumigated)
trust me whistlin diesel his monster max has the stock engine and his engine never broke it's the same body style and year model they are good trucks he put it through hell
Lbz and Lb7 are the good dirtymax engines
Heat it till it drips, pull it till it rips.
Randy, towing companies will take a drive shaft out in order to tow a truck that has four wheel drive. Especially if they have no access to the controls that shift out of four wheel drive.
The stater carried the truck and you are going to be replacing that soon
I like the long bed trucks u can haul more stuff
That Ram the passenger side wheel was sticking way out. That thing is majorly done.
I guarantee that Red ford was a plow truck and the plow probably caught the ground or something in the ground💀😂
It would probably come out of 4L if you move it a bit like get it mousing slow and try getting it out of 4 L as it still move it may work
I feel sorry for you. Always smelling the cars and that trailer fridge LOL
Those lly duramaxes are good motors..not as reliable as the LBZ but still a good motor
The red ford the front end is pushed to the pass side
I want to learn how to do what you do. , I stay in Oklahoma I'm young. Just want some tips on buying and re sale. I watch all your videos
Just saying hi, happy election day. As a North East'r the lack of rust astounds me...That truck would be parchment up here.
It’s my birthday today!
Hi Randy
Duramaxs are very dependable trucks. Mine is a 02 lb7 and she’s only had a water pump 2 sets of injectors and a shift selector. And that’s out of 300k miles of use. Obviously it’s had the suspension and want not, the regular stuff.
F250 twist comes from a tugging twisted gone wrong
Hello Randy, I always look forward to starting the day with one of your videos! You are truly a role model of positive influence. Thank you! I hope the shoulder is feeling better.
RED FORD did a Dukes of Hazard Jump it is obvious based on what I saw.
I been watching for a long time love ur Channel how do u start a Dealers license
Come on man I noticed a new dent in the Ram 2500 fender after you closed the door... hahaha now the truck is totally f*cked....just kidding 😂😂oh yeah on the red truck is a diesel check for the spark plugs.. hahaha
Some one abused the HD Shame great truck I have a 1500 HD and a2500 none4X4
Red ford at end is a gasser
I’m not supprisied the bags weren’t blown on that ram. I guess that The impact happened with the truck off
That alleged gunshot was a light pop sound on video.
Randy how much is the price for the tires on trucks
Might be worth fixing if u wanted to keep yourself but with the body so messed up youre return on investment wouldnt be good. Although diesel trucks no matter the condition are still worth a fair bit in the current market
The chevy 2500 might have gotten stuck in muddy water.
I wonder how much that silverado and ram went for?
I’m pretty shure that older ram next to the ford is a diesel
Hey my friend
I love he was about to puke and then went back to make sure it had a smell 👃
that Silverado dirtymax would be an easy fix any profit who knows
