What kills me specially with these high-end cars is the lack of care taken when storing them for auction scratching and breaking those carbon fiber parts in most cases is like blowing up a brand new car at a dealership because it's in the way

Yeah, buyers aren't wedded to just one type of high end car. This gives them more options to bid on.

My favorite is the blue Porsche GT3. That car just has it ALL! Some assembly required - its like Ikea. These seats are fine for longer trips IMO and its MANUAL!!Gorgeous!!

@@dcskate1022 it’s not that bad if you really want to get into the tub repair, impossible a frame rail other than that it was localized to the suspension that front fender and headlight which really wasn’t that bad it’s just very very costly

18:55 looks like the two spot welds / pins above the left side of the lower controler arm it looks like the subframe or whatever was pulled down. Shame that car was messed up those are gorgeous. Looks to be a relatively "easy" fix those if you have the pockets for it.

Supper easy fix for a shop that works on higher end vehicles mostly cosmetic doubts that there is any frame work just parts availability and cost, go for it big homie you can do it

Is there not a full walkthrough of the place? I saw things in the background that are way more important those the lambo, Ferrari, and 1/3 of a burn mclaren

I have that same GT3 and the previous owner spec’d it with the correct seats. Way more comfortable and adjustable than the carbon buckets!

That isn't the ABS module on the STO, that is the end of the front or rear frame that connects to the impact bar

@@Canderson1213 frankly? I’m not a big exotic guy. The 911 turbo, the GT4, those were fun. We have two more rebuilds in the works now, but I wouldn’t consider them exotics.

The STO sold a few times. Each time cheaper and cheaper. U should do that video of how much it sold second, third time

I’m in awe that you use military time. I feel like I was the only one!

Yellow Ferrari you find an engine burn with a good front end and use it to fix that one. May have to sit on it a long time but probably the only way to affordably fix it.

A few Bird Shit welds on that STO by the looks of it , Was maybe a Friday afternoon build 🤣

The carbon buckets in a GT3 are annoying. They’re stiff and on any trip over 1 hour will become uncomfortable. I had them on my first 2 and my last one I got the 4 way standard seats

for the sto if you have the money you just buy the car and sit on it for a decade or two till its cheep for the carbon fiber work

I rented a regulat 911 for 4 days last year. Never loved a car more, felt at one with the road, felt super confident in taking it fast, and turning. Got pulled over doing 98 in a 65, and was let off with a warning.

Bro, you need to get a 360 Degree Camera, such as one of the Insta360 One X Variants and mount it to a Selfie Stick...you'd be able to stick the Selfie Stick with the Camera attached into some of those openings and be able to View everything in 360 Degrees on the App on your Phone. You can also take 360 Degree Pics and Video.

@@scraplifegarage There's a learning curve to the Editing process, but it's not horrible, and that is if you'd use it to actually make and publish videos. But for getting into areas you can't normally see, for example under the vehicle, inside a Hood that you can't open, etc it would be awesome to be able to see a live 360 degree image on your phone or take a 360 degree pic.

I've seen that GT3 in person. I know what shop it came from.

That's not the wrong seats on the GT3 ! GT3 with a MT goes with that seats because you have the GT3RS with PDK and that's the one you get with bucket seats ! GT3 is the one you drive everyday and the RS is the one you race !

A lot of times when you find broken piece’s put back together the seller is hiding something.

The great thing about buying wrecked or written off R8s, is they can be very cheap to fix. A lot of oem Volkswagen Parts are the same parts just way cheaper. That Ferrari is not worth fixing, it’s gonna cost at least $100,000 fix. And you’ll be lucky to even get a rebuilt or salvaged title, if you do the car won’t be worth more than $100,000 - $160,000.

you didnt mention it in the video - but im an auto damage appraiser and can lend some insight there is a formula called "BEA" (break even analysis or "total loss formula) for totaling a vehicle, and since that STO will have INSANE auction value with the damage to it, it wouldn't take that much to "declare it" a total loss, if the customer agrees if you're not in a BEA state. and CA is a BEA state, which means: the state wants you to mark it a total loss the moment the cost of repairs exceed the ACV of the veh - the predicted auction value. so these exotics with "minimal" damage are almost always totaled on BEA either cuz the state requires it, or the owner doesnt want the car anymore after the accident.

It actually does. A person who is a good driver but never drove a mid engine or rear mounted engine will easly push the car over the edge and not be able to correct it right. However if you have enough money to buy these cars you also probably have enough to pay for the motorcourse or be able to track the car often so money does buy you skill really.

The MP4 with drag radials and a go pro mount. I bet the rear section was removed, to remove the turbo kit before sending car to copart

Your videos cover the salvage process and the rehab process, but where does one find fixed salvaged cars? It seemed like you sold year gt4 back to the original owner. If someone was willing to consider a rehabbed salvage title car as a track car, where would they look? How much of a discount is possible for something that is still structurally sound for track driving? Would love to see a video on these topics.

11:10 it's not good parts anymore as the whole car was on fire, so everything have some fire damage and lost it's original strength.

That blue McLaren looks like flood damage, you really need to avoid stuff like that

Those R8s tend to crack where the shock tower meets the firewall from what I've seen. They can be welded up and reinforced. Seems so many people buy these cars new but have no idea how to handle that many horses. I wanted to see that Merc in front of the blue Porsche. 😫 maybe an SLR?

The sto was from a KZreadr out there that crashed it into a fence as he started braking too late 😂😂

Lot of these cars are good opportunities. Flood damage, minimal damaged cars. Buy them for 30-50k. Fix for 15-20k. Sell for 150k. Very good way to make money.
