This is about the best interview I have listened to on ARISE TV. This guy understands Nigeria and Nigerians. He understands the energy sector. He understands the interaction between energy security, international politics and the climate debate. The numbers he quoted are accurate - Cost of building a refinery, cost of producing crude in Nigeria, etc. I however don’t agree with his proposed JV arrangement (NNPC + Private Nigerians to run refineries) with fixed margin for private refinery operators. It is a good idea but will not work in Nigeria. Our people would exploit the weaknesses. They would start taking the refined products to other countries so they can increase their margins. I would rather pay Nigerians better and leave the private sector to run their businesses without government interference. *Electric Buses* The electric bus idea from OANDO and the Tinubu is unnecessary - another jamboree. We need to go to countries where CNG is used extensively so we can understand how to implement in Nigeria. Kick off the implementation of CNG now. Forget this electric bus trial. Don’t be deceived by the west. Take your destiny in your hands..

I am fed up with these stupid analysts comparing Nigeria with other countries. Why has Nigeria failed to be productive, and what needs to be done to fix the problem. The issue is linked to Nigeria's structure, and the only solution is restructuring the 6 geographical regions.
