Cop Wanted To Harass Regular Black Person, Not State's Attorney (VIDEO)

In this Majority Report clip, an Orlando cop rattles off a string of lies when he realizes he's just racially profiled a State Attorney.
"On the evening of June 19, Orlando police pulled over a white Ford Fusion with tinted windows. Inside was Aramis Ayala, Florida’s first and only African American state attorney - a fact that the two officers who stopped her apparently didn’t know.
As one officer approaches Ayala’s car, she already has her driver’s license in her hands, according to body-camera footage of the traffic stop.
“What agency are you with?” the officer asks Ayala as he examines her license.
“I’m a state attorney,” she responds.
“State attorney,” the officer says quickly, appearing to bring the traffic stop to an abrupt end. “Alright, thank you. Your tag didn’t come back. Never seen that before. … We’re good now.”
Ayala appears confused, prompting the officer to explain further that they had run her Florida license plate tag and that it had returned nothing.
Ayala presses him: “What was the tag run for?”"*

There is all kind of technology on vehicles and at traffic lights running your plates. Where do you think the idea came from?

See when I was a kid this was extremely illegal not only were they prohibited from randomly running plates if a cop didn’t have a good reason for pulling you over the judge would ream his ass and let you go. This doesn’t happen anymore now I see cops driving through parking lots randomly running plates. 🤮

I have to wonder if it is an unspoken police policy to behave in a predatory manner, i.e., go after the people you think lack the power to successfully fight back and avoid the people that may fight back with full societal power - rich white men.

Had to come back to see this clip. That smile on her face as he tries, and fails, to explain away what he was doing. Beautiful.

That's nice she shut that cop down, but how bout all the other people that get harassed by police that aren't in a position of power like SHE is in to actually be taken seriously when they place harassment complaints on cops for racial profiling?????

I went out one time to a garden show forty miles away. When I was at the show, I realized I’d left my wallet at home - no driver’s license, no insurance card. On the way home, I drove extremely carefully. But I was pulled over. The automatic cameras & software let the cops know I hadn’t paid to renew the registration - I procrastinate : my plates were expired. Here’s the thing: expired plates, no ID, no insurance card. If I was black, I’d be dead - this is a simple fact, proven repeatedly. But I’m white. I didn’t get a ticket. I didn’t even get a warning. All the cops posting here about cops not being trained, armed racists, are liars. All cops are white supremacist racists who know their fellow cops and the courts will back them up.

In 2014 my black husband bought a new Cadillac CTS V Coupe. It was a cash deal. He was stopped the first week he had it by cops that claimed the temp plate came back as stolen. When the cops asked for ID, he handed them his driver's license, insurance card, receipt for purchase of the temp plate, the title and both the sales guy at the dealership and his business cards. My husband's an attorney. The cops scattered like cockroaches when the lights are turned on before he could even ask for their business cards.

My husband had a very similar thing like this to happen to him in San Diego, CALIFORNIA around 1967. My husband was "A Sheriff and two local Policemen stopped him, "While driving while Black". When they got him down to the Precinct unfortunately But Fortunately The Police Captain saw my husband and the two arresting officers were bringing him in to arrest him. The Captain at the front desk asked "Hey Buck! What did you do? Well the two Officers were astonished to know that the Captain knew my husband. My husband was let go and the Officers had a month or so off from work for mistakenly arresting "A Sheriff"! They were under The Sheriff!

I apologize for probably commenting on this multiple times, but I watch it over and over to make myself laugh- specifically, around the 3:30- 3:50 time when the greatest comment comes in - " I ran your plate because I thought you were a black NON State's Attorney"! That quote never fails to make me laugh at least as hard as everyone on the show. "I mean, what are the odds in Florida, right?" " Ya gotta cut me some slack..." GENIUS, man....
