Sure it isn't federal or even many state laws, but obviously you are okay giving that Hawk Tuah to those boots. Secondly police need to be held accountable. The fact that most of the time they can investigate themselves and find no wrong doing speaks volumes to the tyranny that cops get to run wild with. Even if it is just "a few bad apples" they all eventually ruin the batch. Also, I would rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6 because some cops ego got hurt

If an officer refuses to identify, they aren't law enforcement, disarm and detain for impersonating a law enforcement officer. It's a felony and if they resist, deadly force can be used, as they are in the act of committing a felony.

There are some police departments in fact most that have this as a POLICY, but it is not a law and not not all of them even have the policy. Failure to identify to you and no way, shape, or form indicates that is not law enforcement… It just means he's not playing your game 2) even if he weren't a real cop you have no authority, whatsoever, to try to either disarm, or detain anyone. You don't have that power you don't have the authority and if you try to in this situation, with a real cop just because he didn't identify, you would quickly find yourself eating a concrete sandwich and you would deserve it 3) the commission of a felony, does not give you any right to engage in the lethal force The only time you're allowed to use lethal force is if your life or the life of someone else is in danger In this particular situation, if you actually were to engage in lethal force and were to actually kill this officer you would be arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to prison where you belong Personally, I would support you getting that that's only because you would deserve it We have enough stupid in the world without you adding yours to the mix… Do better

States and districts need to have better vetting procedures when it comes to accepting people into the PO academy. Seems like there are lots of people who want to be PO's but do not have the mental temperament needed to meet the job requirements. Plus you have lots of PO's who do not know the law they took an oath to uphold and enforce, nor the mandates of the US constitution with regard to citizen rights. @@AK_Snipe well that will get you sent to prison because he is clearly a police officer, I don't know who told you differently but they are not obligated to identify themselves There is no legal requirement they do so Some police departments have policies that they are required to identify but not all If you try to use lethal force in this particular situation if he didn't just kill you himself you would be arrested, tried, and convicted and you would go to prison where you belong

Sure it isn't federal or even many state laws, but obviously you are okay giving that Hawk Tuah to those boots. Secondly police need to be held accountable. The fact that most of the time they can investigate themselves and find no wrong doing speaks volumes to the tyranny that cops get to run wild with. Even if it is just "a few bad apples" they all eventually ruin the batch. Also, I would rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6 because some cops ego got hurt

If an officer refuses to identify, they aren't law enforcement, disarm and detain for impersonating a law enforcement officer. It's a felony and if they resist, deadly force can be used, as they are in the act of committing a felony.

I have never read so much stupid in one posting a long time… Congratulations to let me fix this for you 1) there is no legal requirement for offices to identify themselves. There are some police departments in fact most that have this as a POLICY, but it is not a law and not not all of them even have the policy. Failure to identify to you and no way, shape, or form indicates that is not law enforcement… It just means he's not playing your game 2) even if he weren't a real cop you have no authority, whatsoever, to try to either disarm, or detain anyone. You don't have that power you don't have the authority and if you try to in this situation, with a real cop just because he didn't identify, you would quickly find yourself eating a concrete sandwich and you would deserve it 3) the commission of a felony, does not give you any right to engage in the lethal force The only time you're allowed to use lethal force is if your life or the life of someone else is in danger In this particular situation, if you actually were to engage in lethal force and were to actually kill this officer you would be arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to prison where you belong Personally, I would support you getting that that's only because you would deserve it We have enough stupid in the world without you adding yours to the mix… Do better

He should be removed from the force until trained properly and he knows basic law. Right now, he's acting like a tyrant making good cops look bad.
The state will protect him. The police will say that he did nothing wrong. Get a civil rights lawyer and file a federal lawsuit. Let a jury of his peers decide if he violated your rights. A conviction will see that he’s fired and never be a cop again.

States and districts need to have better vetting procedures when it comes to accepting people into the PO academy. Seems like there are lots of people who want to be PO's but do not have the mental temperament needed to meet the job requirements. Plus you have lots of PO's who do not know the law they took an oath to uphold and enforce, nor the mandates of the US constitution with regard to citizen rights. This PO is a perfect example of that, and his fragile ego is most likely to get someone injured or killed.
