I think the term flat came before apartment - it's from the old English way of speaking; people in america (i believe that's where it started) called flats apartments. Nowadays though, we tend to call older and certain types of buildings flats, and the more new-built fancy tall buildings apartments, though some call everything a flat because it's always been that way. Again I don't know if i'm correct, i just heard of apartments after flats, and this is based off how I hear people alternate between using a flat and apartment.

I used to have a cat who would ping a loose piece of wood on the back door into our garden (yard). After a while his little cat mates would ping it too to call for him - it was so adorable to see! He died in July 1995 - saddest day in the house! 😭 Had 3 cats since him and none have been the same, although I loved them too!

Well, he wasnt adopted as a personal pet. He was hired as Chief Mouser, which is an ancient and venerated job going back a couple of centuries at least. The Foreign Office has their own Mouser as well, hes called Palmerston (named after a 19th century foreign minister), and Larry makes sure, that Palmerston knows, who is most important!

I felt bad for the cat I wonder how he felt when his former owner left and Larry is just like “who is this lady and why is she in my home”

Fun fact: the officers that guard outside have the instruction to knock on the door if Larry asks to go in. The cat Simply sits in front of the door staring at it. And if he stays there for a bit, then the officer has to knock on the door, so that the people inside can open for Larry. Keep in mind that the cat has an official job recognized by the crown and he's part of the staff of downing street. There's the wikipedia page for it. Chief Mouser

Podgorski37 I dunno. Sometimes we can have similar thoughts and I just checked. The commenter I can see it used different wording. I’ve even posted a comment myself only to find someone posted something very similar. There’s been a few times I’d go back and edit mine stating so. Some may have the different comment filter too and miss it. Besides It’s only an issue if they’re an account trying to gain more viewers. Otherwise what’d the the point? They’d have nothing to gain other than a few pointless internet points.
