Maybe this is why I’m not a lawyer… but it feels illegal for an officer to pull you over for not having “visible plates” (which already seems like an subjective thing), then proceed to perform full inspections of them to try and find anything else they can ticket you on.

Not illegal but it depends on the amount of decibels it does at idle and at 3k rpm . If I remembered well , I believe it is 92db at idle and 100db at 3k rpm . 5 years ago Quebec City ticket trap , lots of cops , microphones , computers , cost me $140 or so . Got baffles put in , not sure how many less decibels after that but I sure could hear my music a lot better . Hope that helps .

They're doing a safety check point. They stated that in the video. When you have these assholes riding around like assholes and being overly loud, it eventually leads to getting the attention of the police. They do exist. In some states you have to get yearly emissions checks on your car. If you don't you can't renew the registration on your car and then if you're caught driving they can impound your car.

Get your M license, dont let cops be the reason you don't get your license! That's how they want you to think. Cops are hit or miss, we have some good ones and we got the karens/darens. You just have to be ready mentally and financially if you're going to bend some rules, that's all.

If there is something illegal on a vehicle, give a warning. Next time you get pulled over and they check if you fixed it or not. If you didnt fix it you"ll get a ticket. If you fixed it, you did what they asked. This is how is it suposed to go

Your bike was not within regulations, and they issued you a ticket. They were right. You were wrong. Don't know why you were arguing with the nice officer. She was doing her job, and did it well. If there were complaints about loud motorcycles and your bike didn't have a muffler, then you were part of the problem. Grow up and stop giving us bikers a bad name.

Came from MM to leave a genuine comment, since the comments on MM videos can be toxic as hell. I just wanna say, that ticket was some serious bullshit. Just siphoning funds to pay for more tools to beat the general public with smh. 9:39 couldn't be more true. I'm not from the states, so I've got no clue how bad things actually are... And I certainly don't think ACAB, but one bad apple spoils the barrel. Protect and serve US, not the other way around. Why are pointless laws like this put in place when they're not endangering anyone? Shit's corrupt as fuck. No dB meter test on the bike, you see fucking harleys and whatever running literal straight pipes everywhere, yet nothing is ever done about them. You only got this ticket cuz you were on a "crotch rocket", just more profiling.

Stop whining, take the ticket you know damn well that exhaust isn't even a 'maybe' to be legal. Sounds like you have a beef with the police for doing their job. The ticket is written you are not going to fight it on the side of the road, go to court. I bet the Judge is going to laugh at you.
