Imagine being so bad at your job that you endangered the lives of multiple people by threatening several people with a gun. And all that happened is you can't do that job anymore. As a case study all it does is continue the legal precedents that cops can basically do whatever they want and not have to suffer the same consequences as everyone else.

All interactions should be recorded And immediately summarized on either ones departure. Only exception to this should be something as vital as a shooting call.

@@David-iy1zt I know this would require cops to carry a much bigger battery, and would still be imperfect. But for both citizen and officer safety reasons I think bodycams should be livestreamed to a central location where they can be monitored. Imagine someone gets the drop on a cop and she can't even turn on her camera, a person in a room watching the cameras could see that and send assistance immediately. If a cop is behaving unreasonably a supervisor can be dispatched and advised EXACTLY what's going on before arriving.

He was so in rush to get the info of the suspect only to stop everyone on his sight coming out of that door at gunpoint regardless of suspect appearance, imagine if someone came out in rush, probably would add to the death count.
Hard not to burst out laughing when Officer Dipshit goes back to the lobby and the manager yells, "I told you the guy was white, why the hell are you arresting my black employee?!" and then Officer Dipshit immediately books it as he realizes how bad he fucked up.

"Stop telling me what to do!" Well, someone certainly had to do so as this officer was so fearful for his own safety that his ability to analyse and reason what was taking place.
Turning the camera off during an ongoing investigation should be grounds for immediate termination
"We received a call about someone who's armed and matches your description" That is the oldest trick in the book because the majority of the time it isn't true.

To be fair to police (whether they deserve it or not) the suspect always matches the 'general' description of "a Human, wearing some kind of clothing". This way police can justify pretty much anything. Also, I was once a "suspect" stopped by police. I was politely stopped, and asked for cooperation. They showed me a picture of the person they were looking for, who did look a bit like me. They thanked me, and five minutes later I was on my way. No weapons were drawn and no vulgarities were used. Would you like to take a guess why I was treated so civilly?

He didn't want to look for the guy with the gun but he had no trouble ringing for his colleagues to go do it. He had a supervisor with him and they didn't even get in the car and go looking. Cops are getting too used to only doing traffic stops and karen calls.

Notice he detained a person not meeting the description of the suspect just outside the door the armed suspect was expected to exit, and yelled in the stairwell at another person not meeting the description. *It would take a brain dead suspect to get caught by this officer here.*

I think that the actual agency that gets sued should have to pay settlements. If the money to cover civil rights violation settlements came out of the actual agency's budget, it would definitely have an impact and I guarantee that officers would be trained in what not to do and how not to act.

Like 1 minute before this, he was told by the manager it's a white male. So he proceeds to pass right by the white male and wait for a black guy to come out. To be fair the manager also told him he'll be coming out of the exit outside, which happened to be incorrect as the guy was already outside with the woman whom the cop passed. Still the cop disregarded the description completely.

We don't know that he lied about the description. It is completely possible the only part of the description he actually remember was "male" and exiting that door. I think it is more likely that he was just expecting the next male to open that door to be his guy. Still, it is his just to remember the entire description especially when it was given not 2 minutes prior, which he clearly didn't do.

He mostly got in trouble (banned from law enforcement) only because he quit while under "discipline" for this crime.
