@@LaithAlkhalili "Having a lot of equipment is not necessarily better" - I know Coops garage gym might be the exception, but this would literally be the argument in favour of almost all other garage gyms as opposed to a commercial gym. Garage gyms that have a lot of equipment like this one often have much cooler, more specialist equipment and it's just fun to build it up yourself. Garage gyms that have minimal equipment tend to have just what you need and are efficient. The point being, you build it to your specification. You clearly don't like "clutter", so you could keep a minimal, tidy spacious home gym. You would have no control over a commercial gym, how much equipment there is or how much space you need. Each to their own, I guess, but I agree with the OP, and Coop himself, that garage gyms are better than commercial gyms in almost every way.

@Your Name I get where you're coming from, but don't quite agree with you. I don't know your age or your situation so this might not be something you'll relate to, but I'll go with it anyway. If you buy a house and 5 years later you go to sell it, would you try to get as much for it as you can? Would you be considered scum for accepting the market value which is thousands, or tens of thousands more than you paid?
@antondel1986
3 жыл бұрын
@Your Name you're right, he's taking advantage of the increase in the market value. I don't see a problem with that. I don't see why that's different to selling as house, except for the fact that you're used to people doing it with houses 🤷 it's quite literally the same thing.

Coop, what happened to your dad’s welded rack??? I’d love it if you showed a picture of it- the rack that first inspired you to set up your own garage gym. You mentioned on Matt’s podcast your dad was a powerlifter. Do a video how much you watched him lift. Was he teaching you squat form before grade school? What else was in his gym setup? Did you hang around a lot of powerlifters as a kid? A huge reason I have my garage gym is to hang out with my kids who are all young. Heck they swing on the climbing rope and hang off the yoke more than I do. They are quick to respect staying off the platform when cleans or presses are happening. So much more quality time with them. Teach by example - they see me training/ exercising at my leisure. I’m away from them all day during work I’d hate to also not hang out with them during any free time spent working out. Lastly, a 4’x 8’ foldable tumbling mat in the garage gym is great for them to play on and great for adults to do yoga/ soft tissue work.

Garage Gym Reviews my wife liked it...
hey coop great setup! which legs did you attach to the coop rack ?
Coop, it would be awesome if you could make a video about every single brand that you have used (like rogue, rep, titan, etc) and their best equipment in your opinion.
You should do a video on how you're going to move all that goodness to the new house. I jave anxiety thinking about how I am going to get all my gym equipment to my new house.
Coop love your videos. Do you have a recommendation for a good plate loaded leg developer? Either free stand or one that attaches to a bench. Love to hear your opinion.
That Arsenal rack is insane. I want!
I just bought those ngage grips, seem pretty cool.
Really compliments for your beautifull complete efficient and safety home gym emh.. Garage Gym :)Holy moly ,this rack (COOP)represent latin aphorism :mens sana in corpore sano becasue for use all function on this amazing rack you need a Master Degree in Engineering:))The Koklov plates is a "touch of class" im fan on Weighlifter and Koklov !
A+++ for that intro :)
Coop, where do you get your music from? Love it!
Can you do a review on your watch, the Omega SMP, and why you chose it, vs the alternatives...Tx in advance.
Hey Coop, I know this is a silly question to ask on Garage Gym Reviews, but I couldn't help but notice your hanging bikes at 11:40 are hanged on nice minimal clips and I think they'd go great in my space - where did you find those? Thanks
Coop, your stuff is amazing. How easy, or hard is a big Rogue rack to set up, say the RML-690C? I am not the handiest fella. Is there an option where they put it together for you, or do you just have to buckle down and give up 5-8 hours of your life to get it done?
Finally !!
The Swiss/Football bar is from EliteFTS. I have the same bar and use it a lot. Works great. I paid $350.00 for it back in 2015 plus tax.
the only reason why this is a "home gym" is because it's physically in your house. I was going in a certain commercial gym which literally had less equipment, but it was in a larger space.
I can not find any of those n-gage grip, is that any similar to titan gripz? Can you do a versus on them?
Hey coop, I own a Titan X3 and need something to keep me in place while doing lateral pull downs. What would work and fit my rig? Any help would greatly appreciated.
The COOP station is amazing. Do you have a list of all the components handy? I'd like to price one out...
Awesome video! Are you selling any of your equipment?
Hey Coop, if you can’t find a spot for the extra PowerBlock stand in the new gym... 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
that is sweet, hope you use it well
I thought you have everything but in this video I realised you have no strongman related equipment like a yoke or a log lift. Your gym is almost perfect!
"That's money in the bank shawty what you thank." Hahaha.
COOP! I'm looking at a two rack, Rep 5000 setup. One with the Ares cable system, the other with the Rogue Rhino. Will the Rhino fit in a Rep rack with it being more narrow? If so, I'd love the info on your Coop squat. Thanks man.
Coop those wall units that you hang bikes and sled on are from gladiator garage works?
Where did you get your powerblock storage unit? Looked pretty slick
What are your thoughts on the LuXiaojun barbell? I’ve heard that it’s extremely stiff and not good to do oly lifts with since there’s such little whip?
Coop looks 14 and 44 at the same time.
I can't wait to do my garage.
