The Most Expensive Basement Gym?

Спорт

Hey all, today I give you an update on the status of my basement gym. It's always a work in progress but wanted to document it's current state as I've finally gotten in a lot of the main pieces I've ordered. In case you didn't notice from my commentary, I like it a lot.

I understand. I paid a premium on my equipment because at that time, everything was sold out or was hard to come by....To this day, I don't regret it at all, I don't care if I overpaid....in the end, I needed gym equipment ASAP and I knew gyms would be close for a long time....I was right, because they still haven't reopened since October. But now I learned to appreciate working out at home which was my initial worry (I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy working out with that social environment). Not anymore, now I ask myself why did I wait for Covid to buy them and not before. Now the hard part....is to stop buying more gym equipment, it's tough....lol. Especially when you and Coop come out with new items. You are both making it hard on my wallet.

Coop is awesome, but he has a tinsy tiny bit of a hoarding problem. 🤣😂 His old house was pure madness outside of his double car port gym, although still a bit cluttered. His 3rd car port was filled with random gear and his shed gym too lol. However, I am completely greatful for guys like Brandon and Coop for creating their channels. Don’t know about anyone else, but they’ve saved me thousands in otherwise unnecessary gym equipment purchases. So a huge THANK YOU!!!!👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👊😎

It is a truly awesome gym that covers most gym needs for the home. The various stations are setup quite nicely and it's well organized. All of the white equipment and changes to the Prime single stack look great together! Plus...SO MANY plates and bars, where you could have probably half a dozen peeps working out at the same time, if desired. Hell of a job with the basement and anyone would love going down there to workout. If I were a neighbor, I'd sure like to join the weight club.

Well Brandon, I've come up with some crafty/easy ways to add mirrors without damaging walls; super glue neodymium plate magnets to corners of plate mirrors (if you ever want to remove, all it takes is a spatula or acetone/goof-off solvent for more stubborn adhesions). Only future addition I anticipate making would be adding wheels to my weight tree (DIY, using some strong @$$ locking wheels). Might build a gun rack style barbell holder just for some more DIY fun (getting into welding, soldering, brazing...easy compared to glass blowing)

Awesome setup bro. I just purchased a new house. I am gonna be creating a Gym Shed since I got a bigger property. What is the wall storage solution that you installed? I didn't catch the name of it. Sweet video as always. I am still on the fence about buying the ghost j-cups. Should I take the plunge? I currently have Rogue standard j-cups and I abhor the look.

Awesome set up. You seem like someone who’d use/benefit from a belt squat set up (either Sorinex on Bear or Rogue’s Rhino), any plans to add that? Ps: waiting on your PF single stack review, I got one on order (need to feel good re: purchase$$$!!)

Speaking of the Vulcan ox bar...got mine yesterday. I didn't realize it was literally going to be the size of an ox... absolutely massive. Not sure I have room for an ox to live in my garage. It's a bit unstable for overhead presses and shrugs...haven't tried deadlifts with it yet but am expecting the same...I may have made a mistake buying it...maybe Rippetoe was right. You like yours?

Don't know if you're into the whole seated shoulder press thing, but you ever think about getting a shorter bench (the back comes up only to your armpits or so)? I've been thinking about getting one from one of the numerous gym bankruptcy liquidation sales going on nowadays...sloppy nasty seconds but I haven't found a good home-gym version.

For an OCD person like myself , this is painful , whereas yours is is well organized and user friendly. Yours is like a $1000, barbell, also most too pretty to use.
