Cool Spot Longplay (Sega Genesis) [QHD] [100% Cool]
Ойындар
Developed and published by Virgin Games in 1993
One of my favourite corporate sponsorship games ever. Despite it's 7-Up branding, Cool Spot is a pretty cool game - Spot is a great mascot and the animators really infused a sense of life and personality into the little dude.
I played the PAL version of the game some time back, but it's the NTSC 60 Hz Genesis version that really shines. I decided to complete a new longplay and try and achieve 100% cool on each level; easier daid than done when cool points are often hidden in really difficult to reach places.

The thing that really did it for me was that animation at the beginning of every level where Spot looks at the map in front of the stage name. I think I must have watched that at least a thousand times. It's a pretty relaxing animation, though, just watching the background blow past in the wind.

Gosh, for some reason those bubbles in the bonus levels are making me want the cool, crisp, refreshing taste of 7-Up soda, available at your local grocery mart or wherever cool drinks are sold. Anyone else feeling that way?

can we have a minute of appreciation to the amazing music?

Better quality than that "Grand Prize" quality? (Though 7Up could've made the grand prize a $1,000 voucher for 7-Up and their products or give a year supply for 7-Up or something.)

I remember playing this beyond nonstop. My parents only let my brother and me play our games from Friday afternoons till Sunday night so I had to pack an entire week into as much as possible. My brother hated me when it came to this game.
So many childhood memories playing this game. I really want a cool spot plush.
The bonus music level is still banging 👌
Valio la pena ver como terminaban este y otros juegos que nunca pude ganar! Gracias por subirlo!
Man I used to play this after school for hours. I got to the point where I just flat out mastered it. I knew how to get all of the dots in all of the levels, including those bonus levels when you're inside the can. The music was great and I dunno man, I just got hooked and I used to powerhouse this game 😄 Why we aren't born with the innate ability to enjoy the fleeting moments of youth as we live them is beyond me.
Omggggg I played this game as a kid!!! Crazy. I feel old now lol
You can play this game online for PC but have a USB game controller to use instead of the keyboard and buttons for everything. I'm playing it now such a fun throwback game
i was born 2 years after this game came out and my dad had it for the genesis. i somehow remember this game from when i was like 5.
I loved this game. One of the more manageable ones :)
I just thought about this game along with green dog .. played 27 years ago
I used to play this on my dads genesis. Still have it along with Sonic 2 and Kid Chameleon

I loved this as a kid
You know, and I might have not been the only one to say this, Cool Spot is an early example of a “collect-a-thon.”

After almost 30 years, I still can't believe they made a game out of the 7-UP logo. And it was such a fun game. I mean, developers fuked up well loved franchise classics such as JP, Star Wars and Star Trek.
He's so great
Maybe not this game, but this reminds me of when I used to play games for fun. Not because they provided an escape from reality or because I needed some achievement points/trophies. I don't miss those days, but I do miss "having fun".
One of my fondest memories in computer class.
I always remember playing this game as a child at my grandparents house I couldn’t remember any of the levels only the bottle cap riding the bottle

One hour and twenty six Minute commercial is what this game is.
I don’t know which console it was but I definitely remember my brother playing this at my late grandpa’s house when I was a kid
The hit sounds reminds me of sonic hitting eggman "where cool spot shoots hermit crabs"
I don't think I've ever beaten even the first level, and I played this a lot
It took me days to find out that you can hear Western tune in Loco Motive. I thought that was Toying Around, the level which has the Groovie Tune.

I like the 100% cool
I remember renting this game. I got to level 3. After seeing the rest of the game, only getting harder and with that time limit, the zero inspiration bland levels that recycle a second time.. I'm getting physically sick at the idea of having to beat this game without an emulator.
am I the only one who hear Iron Maiden childhoods end on the bonus levels?

This is the only game I can think of that doesn't have objects reappear after killing them if you lose a life
I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FEVER DREAM WHAT THE FUCK
Lmao this game was so hard especially when I couldn't save. I don't think I ever made it past the fifth world.
Storing continue? :p this game didn't have a password system but a save slot inside the cartridge? Also I love how at the beginning of a level, there's this animation where cool spot sees the signpost with the level name that points to the left and he decides to walk right xD
