COOL DOWN ANYWHERE! EGO 56V 18" Misting Fan Review [5000 CFM]

Ғылым және технология

Whether you work in a shop or outdoors, this ‪@Egopowerplus‬ 18V Misting Fan can help cool you down on those blistering days. Powered by their 56V Arc Lithium batteries the FN1800 can run for up to 60 hours on Low with a single 5Ah battery. You get 5 speeds to choose from with an additional "Turbo" speed as well. Low speed delivers 1,500 CFM and you get a whopping 5,000 CFM in High speed. Still need more cooling capacity? Just fire up the misters with a push of a button. You can select intermittent or Continuous mode on the misters. An internal pump will pull water from your water bottle, bucket, or any other reservoir you select.

    Great review! I bought one of these a few days ago. It’s great! And that level 1 fan is effective and so much more quiet than a cheapo box fan. I feel like a complete idiot, though. I had no idea I could run it flipped up on its side until I saw your video. 🤦‍♂️. I like to run it that way better because the control panel is on top and I think it’s just a bit quieter.

    This spark plug kzread.infoUgkx-6W-PtUzBRTmACHywsECak2ToY2OpjxN is a quality made replacement for the old Briggs and Stratton 799876 which has been discontinued. This plug fits most Briggs and Stratton 625 engines made since 2011. Most of these engines also have the air gap set to .020, but it is highly recommended to check in your user manual for actual application.

    I'm not sure why other window fans have become such pieces of garbage kzread.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 but this one definitely is nice. It's quiet, it has buttons for different functions that you generally don't have to keep pressing over and over again like some of the others, and the remote is a nice feature. Still, button simplification could go further to single functions for each and every one, but it's decent enough. It's a very quiet fan, the quietest window fan that I have ever had, and that alone is worth the extra money over the cheaper ones.

    So close! It's unfortunate as expensive as this is, that it doesn't have an AC port like the Ryobi. So you have to buy a battery and a charger - rather than, have an AC port that can power the fan, and charge the battery at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate at the price at that point. I really like the intermittent misting option, though it would be nice to see that be controllable, or also an option to cut the misting down to one or two outlets. Just for convenience, I bought one big and one small Ryobi fans for less than this one fan would cost - the big fan was $140 and the bucket-top misting fan is $70.

    Disappointed there is no 120 volt power hook up. Is the stock line long enough to at least put in a 5 or 10 gallon jug of water??? Tailgate last at least 5 to 7 hours. Or during hurricane season on the east coast with no power, would be nice to hook up the house water hose. EGO may need to go back to the drawing board for 120 volt access and water hose hook up

    I need to see a "tech talk" type video for this thing. No mention made of cooling ability and I didn't need to see how to attach wheels and the handle. It won't work out of the box because it doesn't include a battery and one of those plus it's charger is around the same price as the fan itself. I can DIY one of these things for about a hundred dollars.

    @@Sacapuntas69 You are right about the "bare tools". They don't come with a battery. I have a garage full of every kind of DeWalt's finest. Two of them came as sets which included a battery and I did buy two extra batteries as time went on. However, once powered, these tools work as intended whereas the fan in question apparently doesn't live up to it's hype which is in no way supported by something as simple as a thermometer in any of the veiled infomercials I watched. Bottom line is that what they are selling is just a fan with a water pump and some misting nozzles and they don't do very much cooling. The sad thing is that you cherry picked what I wrote and took it out of context just like most trolls do and you began your reply with the assumption that I am somehow hot and bothered about what I saw, another troll tactic. You got a couple of paragraphs out of me for your minimal writing effort. Enough time wasted on you.

    Looks like a great product. But it doesn't even include a battery and charger for that price. Total price for this fan is OVER $600!!!! You have to buy the charger (~$99 for a decent one in 2022) and you have to buy the battery separately ~$250 for the 5 Amp Hour version (2022 pricing) at local store. This pricing is totally ridiculous. Like for that kind of money you can buy a mobile AC unit.

  • @snake_eyes_garage

    @snake_eyes_garage

    I agree. I noted that the Ryobi misting fan has an AC port, but even so doesn't charge the battery when plugged in. Ideally, you would have your nice 5ah battery and have it act as a charger while on AC. (This fan doesn't support AC direct power.)
