Cooking Meals on an Engine
With military issue 'boil in the bag' meals, you don't even need to take a cooker with you on your expedition. Pack them on the top of your engine, fire it up and hit the road, it's as simple as that!

Jaspar Shelbourne It’s time we did another trip Brig!
Hi, how long (generally speaking, I guess altitude may have an impact) would it take to cook that MRE? Thank you.

The food is pre-cooked so it’s just a question of heating it up. In a hot environment this could be as little as 15 minutes, whilst in colder climes maybe 45 minutes. A radiator blanket helps in these situations to keep heat in the engine bay.
