Wheres all the views? And comments? This is a good film.
Thanks again.
Those 404 estate at the time very popular in Portugal, now also collectable item. These share the same engine with the only Portuguese 4x4 called a UMM, from older to newer 2.5td Peugeot engine.
Yeap, deffo portugueses old colonial history. As I am Portuguese you can always get good food where the Portuguese are 😊
Thanks again, watching them all now.
Thanks, good insight and I'm always curious, usually French cars due to the previous history I suppose. But toyota dominates mostly it seems. Thanka again.
We’re planning our overland trip - renewed our passports last year and the digital photos have expired. We know we need passport photos with us - do they need to be copies of ones in our passport? If so can we just take a photo of the copies and get them printed from there or can we have new photos done that don’t then match our passport ones?? Great videos - very informative, thank you
Photos taken within the last 6 months are best to take with you and they don’t need to be the same as in your passport.
Brilliant, thank you
How is the value of the car determined? If I purchased a 20 year old car for 1300 GBP.. is this the value that would be used?
You’ll have to check with CARS Europe who use the Carnets, but my understanding is that it’s based in current market value. Fortunately the accessories bolted to a vehicle (roof tent, winch, other mods etc) are not taken into account when they determine the value, just the base vehicle.
2:00 bro,not nice to say that about his body..but it's funny 😂
Why don't they use Webasto or Eber?
We had a Webasto fitted to our vehicle but never used it. If we had used it, the engine drive belts would have got cold, brittle and snapped, so much better to keep the whole engine running.
@@DriventoExtremes Just use it 24/7🤷
wow !!
Mac please release the whole 5 episodes onto KZread , these were great.

Too small wheels
A former Rainforest Challenge winner selected the size for us. I would hope that he knew what was best for that vehicle in those conditions.
Outstanding ! 'Bravo Zulu' to all concerned
This looks amazing!!
Thanks for your kind words, the film crew did a great job and the trusty Berlingos did even better! Fantastic vehicles and brilliant fun. We’re heading back out again this September but this time with Land Rover Freelanders and the public are invited to join us!
Incredible video with a great performance from the epic berlingo. I dont know how this doesn't have more views. I have had a peugot 308 for over 7 years with over 244,000 miles on the clock, very similarly to the berlingo / partner. Great engine the 1.6 is
Brilliant Videos Mac, watched all three and very useful info. One question I do have relates to temporary import of vehicles. Those countries that don't require a CDP, as I understand it most require fees for temporary importing the vehicle... be interesting to know more on this, costs I know will vary... is this on every border outside the EU or just the lesser developed countries once you're further afield? or is it just better to do the CDP for every country outside the EU?
1:07 Toms reaction is very funny!
He was a brilliant guy to work with.
Why has this expedition only a few views?! Love it. Drove a Opel Vivaro too, but bought a Hilux for a similar tour 😅
No idea really, it's quite baffling! It was a fantastic project to plan and lead and hope that one day when Russia is at peace we can do it all over again.
Never had trouble with my MSR expedition stove! The only maintenance I do is after I use it I shake the stove vigorously so the shaker pin clears the jet for about a minute! No issue! Once a year I will take it apart and clean it. The plastic parts are robust and with new technology as strong if not better than metal!
Thanks for the feedback, it’s much appreciated.
Nice hat
I prefer McDonald’s
Fantastic video capturing the reasons behind such a worthwhile adventure. Well done everyone involved. You can all be very proud of a great achievement.
Thanks Ged.
Definitely don’t need a radiator or oil coolers there, but block heats would be useful
Much easier, simpler and cheaper (re modifications) just to keep the engine running the whole time. No electricity to power block heaters anyway.
Excellent video mate, highly informative & just what I needed to know, explained concisely and simple, thank you so much for this and putting it out there for us appreciate it!
No problems at all, glad it’s been of some help.
Top 3 videos on paperwork. Thank you
Our pleasure, hope they are of some help.

So glad this is still held Whoop whoop go Grandad!!!!
Very good information and reminds me of my times going through different trainings and schooling. Does Mr. Holland still offer these services? Working on documentary project.
Hi David. Glad you found the video interesting. Steve and I work together to develop 'selection weekends' for potential teams, so please do drop me an email if this might be of interest - [email protected] Thanks, Mac
Part of a great playlist. Thanks for putting this all together.
Thanks very helpful 👍
This has been what I've been searching for. Clear information coming from an experienced source. I've built out an expedition rig and I would really like to put my years as a photographer to use for a worthy cause instead of overlanding for leisure. How would you recommend that I find and connect with working expedition teams in need of a photographer with his own transportation?
The best thing to so is contact the following organisations... Explorers Connect - www.explorersconnect.com Royal Geographical Society - www.rgs.org Scientific Exploration Society - www.ses-explore.org Hope this helps.
@@DriventoExtremes Very helpful, thank you. I am still making my way through your video series and it has been immensely informative. Keep up the great work!

Maybe they're all tested on the same road before being sold. 😂
Hello, do you have the gps track available for download? Thanks
I’m afraid we don’t, but the route can be seen here… www.ybtracking.com/event-rental-expeditions-and-treks
