This was very sad. I always loved Cook. Fun story. I’m from the West Indies. When I was 12 England was in Trinidad for a test match. And had a practice session on my school’s ground. I left school to go. I asked all the England players for autographs. All of them ignored me except for Cook. Who signed my bat

Watching Cook enjoy his last innings in test cricket, his mind freed from the stresses and cares that had been weighing increasingly heavily on his batting, is to be reminded of his virtues. He knew his game inside out. He was professional in his approach and earned respect for his achievements. One of England's greatest ever batsmen.

Or the underarm bowling some decades ago from other countries, or the common so called sledging....Sadly we feel we must comment on the sportsmanship of teams when all too often some players have to stretch to reach up to the gutter after falling so low.
