@Dylon Fosbraey no, mine was simply just go to a blank screen and do nothing. I upgraded my hdd, and that's when the fun began. Which cfw are u running. My console is a ps3 slim.

Might be keys for a different title ID. The key has to match the .iso in terms of title ID for it to work.

Is it best to convert back to iso or okay to just use JB folder with multiman.

Were you able to figure out how to dump encrypted ps3 roms to your ps3? I finally modded mine last night, and now I've been hardcore search tutorials on how to decrypt ps3 roms i download to copy over to my ps3 for playing. Think I figured out where to drag, and drop my folders finally once I merge the IRD with the ISO.

I'm not exactly sure to be honest, I haven't had such an issue. Perhaps the iso tools program has a support section on their github. Apologies.

You should just be able to double click the .iso file and it should mount :)

From the top of my head, there should be an "ird" folder. Place your keys in there.

It says to not run the disc dumper as an administrator and I unchecked the setting in properties but I get the same error

Unsure about this one. If it's possible to try on a different pc, I recommend trying that. Sounds like an issue with your pc. Let me know :)

can i skip the (converting that JB folder back into an .iso file ready for use with your PS3 Emulator or Jailbroken/HEN PS3 console.) part, and just put the JB folder on the ps3?

Absolutely! A jb folder will work on your ps3, however I have had problems myself with some consoles slowing down/lagging after moving multiple jb folders to the internal hdd. I'm unsure if it was just an issue with specific consoles/hard drives, I just moved to using .iso files instead. You're welcome to use either. :)

Make sure the key is for the exact game you have, eg: BLES game keys will not work on BLUS games. Place the .ird key inside the ird folder of the disc dumper. Let me know if the issue continues :)

When I mount the iso, I run the program and it keeps flipping back and forth between disc detected and insert disc. What am I doing wrong? Plus, does the program need Internet connection in order to decrypt? PLEASE, someone help me.

Fairly certain the program will require you to have an internet connection as it uses a public database of decryption keys to work.

@@strixxr thanks for the response. But what about the first issue? Under the steps section, it keeps switching between "PS3 game disc detected" and "checking inserted disc". This makes me think the program can't recognize my iso. I opened the ird folder and saw that the disc key for my game is in there so why is it taking so long? Is there a way to manually choose a disc key for the program to use?

@@eugeneamoako4440 I know there can be some issues with the dumper, please try the following: Go to ps3.aldostools.org/ird.html and see if your games .ird file is available. Please take note that you will need the correct title ID .ird file otherwise it will not be compatible. The EU and USA keys of a specific game are not the same and will not work with the other. If you find the .ird file with the same title ID, download it to the disc dumper IRD folder. Run the dumper with your game .iso mounted and see if that works. If the dumper still doesn't work, you can try the method of dumping from the RPCS3 emulator quickstart guide. Follow this link and scroll down until you find the "Dumping Step-By-Step" instructions and give that a go. rpcs3.net/quickstart If you need more assistance or are having trouble with the above method, I can make a video showing how to do it :) Please let me know :)

Depending on the title, it may take a while. Make sure you have the latest release of the software and make sure the .iso you're trying to decrypt is not already decrypted :)

You can dump an encrypted .iso by following the video, just don't follow the next steps with ps3 iso tools to convert back to an .iso file. :)

Windows can natively mount an .iso image. Try right clicking the file and look for the "mount" option if double clicking the file doesn't do anything.

this method doesn't work on all games since the zip doesn't contain a ll the dkey of the iso games i recommend using the ps3dec r5 decryptor sice it's guaranteed and faster and also it generates the new decrypted iso in secends

Doesn't work on ALL games, correct. Disc dumper uses a public disk key database that may not have the game you're looking for. I have not personally used the program you have mentioned so I wouldn't know about it. Thank you for the comment :)

It's not a virus, perhaps you could start a virual machine if you want to have the program contained

If the disc dumper keeps saying invalid files, keep running it and it will do it eventually I had to run it about 10 times in one games. Plus if the iso tool isn’t working. Take the dump folder, put it on a USB plug, the USB into the PS3 and the MultiMan convert it to iOS for you. That’s the way I done it if that helps anyone run in to the same problem as me.

Very good addition! You can use multiman to create the iso and save it to your ps3 hdd if for some reason the iso tools program doesn't work for you. :) thanks!

@@strixxr during the last moment ot finishes with saying 10 invalid files. Next time 5 invalid files like that. I gave up that and went on installing a pkg and it's working now hehe thanks for the help

are the IRD and Logs created from a previous dump you did? Why do you already have those two folders there before you start the process? I installed PS3 Disc Dumpter. Mounted My ISO (2 random PS3 ISOs), and it fails every time. State: "No valid disc decryption key was found." I then tried putting the ISO in the same root folder as the PS3 ISO dumper executable, and that made no difference. The only difference I see here from my setup vs yours, is you have the IRD folder there as you started this video. I do not have the IRD folder and wondering if there's more to this. LIke to I need to go out an manually find the key files or whatever files are sitting in IRD?

Here's what I did instead, but I still need to test** I mounted the .iso, then copied the entire contents, after mounted, into a folder named to the game i'm extracting all files to. Once extracted, I then used PS3 ISO Tools, and created a new ISO from those same files, and it created the ISO with an "OK" status and renamed the iso to the game name and also included the key ID. My PS3 has not been modded yet, and that is my next step. Once Modded, I will try this ISO i just created. If this works, we may not need PS3 Disc Dumper. Though of course, if anyone has already tried this, please let me know, otherwise, stand by for an update.

Happy to report that my above method worked! I did not need to decrypt. I just mounted the drive, copied files over to a folder, then converted that folder into an iso, then transferred over to PS3 via FTP.

@@Sumitinsane You'll need to extract the ISO first into a Folder, then re-run PS3_ISO_TOOLS, take that folder you dumped your ISO files into, then create ISO from that folder. Locate your iso, right click on it, choose "mount" or "explore" top open up files inside iso. Make sure you have the view option to "view hidden files." Then copy all the files inside the ISO, and paste them into a folder that you create. From there, you open the ISO program, and use the convert ISO option. Re-converting it will remove any security restrictions. With this Method you bypass disk dumper all together, don't use disk dumper, you don't need it. I'll keep an eye out for any questions from ya. step 1 : mount the iso to your pc (use a tool like wincdemu) step 2: open the disk dumper and dump the game Step 3 : open iso tools and select the folder containing the game dump step 4 : copy the new iso to ps3 using usb or ftp and enjoy

Either you need to find the key online and move it into the disc dumper folder or the .iso you're trying to decrypt doesn't need decryption. Not all ps3 .iso files are encrypted. Only most redump ones.

After doing this can this file can be added to ps3

You can transfer the game .iso to your ps3 internal drive or you can place your games on an external usb hard drive and plug it into your ps3 :)

Yes it will :) this error is precisely the reason I had to start looking into disc encryption. Take the .iso file that isn't working for you, follow along with my video and try launching the new .iso on your ps3. It should now work perfectly. Please let me know how you go :)

New disc dumper from the link in description should have a majority of what you're looking for. They're always adding new key sources so make sure you have the latest update :)

I play with files not discs Does that also work?

Wdym files? If you have a jb folder with all the game files already, you shouldn't have an encryption problem. If you have an .iso but get the error "80010017" when you try to launch them, they're probably encrypted and will need to be decrypted before you can use them. This video will help you in that situation.

@@FreeBaghdad yessir. Follow this video to decrypt an encrypted .iso file. During the process, you can keep it in the jb folder format or use ps3 iso tools like I did in the video to convert it back into an .iso file, only this time without the encryption. :)

@@ralphthornton339 for ps3 iso tools or disc dumper? They're both perfectly safe. If it's windows defender, there should be an option to run anyway. If that still doesn't work, disable "realtime protection" temporarily from windows defender settings.
