    Hi I'm a new cricut user and have been looking to learn as much as I can through videos and tutorials.. anyway, I just wanted to say that for as much searching, watching, comprehending, ect... I've been doing, your videos are the best. Everyone says, "watch j. Maker", and those videos are ok, albeit a bit long winded. Your videos are taught, or explained.. just the way that I like to learn. I really appreciate all the time and energy you put in them. I noticed you've been doing these videos for over ten years, but you've showed down drastically. I hope everything in your life is as good as it can be. Please, if possible make some more tutorials for complete newbie, with windows and Android and maker 3. This is my first comment on KZread, I made it only because there may be a slight chance that you see the comment and gift the world some more of your great videos. Thanks🧡

    sorry I'm not familiar with youtube's send options at all, but you can always. You can always copy the link manually and send it to yourself that way. You can also click on watch later and find it there in your youtube account I think

    If i have business edition for the silhouette, can I send the file differently to make it a usable file in the program? I did the upgrade for the app.I am using on my iphone but I don't see a way to send the file other than jpeg.

    If you have upgraded the app, you should have the option to save as PDF as shown at about 8:10 in the video. Technically, Designer Edition or above could open the PDF, but you wouldn't be able to separate the strokes. You will need Inkscape to do that as I show in the next video. The bigger problem on the Silhouette side is a big that double cuts open paths. They have fixed it in the latest beta, so you will want to use that.

    i did an update on the app (3.99). should that just be a one time upgrade? or will it cost 3.99 for each picture? By the way...I LOVE your videos!!

    How different is this from the Imaengine app you recommend?

  • @cleversomeday

    @cleversomeday

    Imaengine makes closed paths for cutting; Sketchmee makes open paths for drawing.

    Do you plan a tutorial for Windows?

    This app does not have a Windows version, so you can't do this process without an iOS device or Mac. When I get to the Inkscape, Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio portions of the process, they will be applicable to Windows or Mac users.

    Why would you want a pdf when it needs to be exported as a vector....?

  • @cleversomeday

    @cleversomeday

    10 ай бұрын

    The exported PDF here is a vector PDF and is the only vector option available.

    So could you engrave this?

  • @cleversomeday

    @cleversomeday

    No, because you only have one line weight (width or color) with an engraving tip and this process relies on having different weights.
