I really wanted to like this more than I did. Aspects about it are great, but the childrens bedroom is horrible. It is like they are being put out of the way. The space could have been used so much better so that their children had a spece that they could grow into.

Lovely design except I'd have put the bathroom between the two bedrooms. Made the living space just a bit shorter and given the kids a bit more space. Suppose they don't intend to live on this very long though.

That’s a “no” from me on the layout. Just need to squeeze past dad on the toilet to get to the kitchen.

If nothing else they could have put the bathroom in the kids bedroom and made the doorway bigger. Not the best layout really, but it does look nice

That would be a lot trickier. You'd need to add a lot of weight to keep the boat down, and that weight would itself take up space. Also, canals aren't that deep.
